Ride home with me from work today!

Thanks to those who joined live on the way home today.

I had better audio and a much easier ride, plus we’re learning a lot about going live on IG.

After riding my old Peugeot into the shop this morning, it was a nice change of pace to ride one of our e-bikes back home.

Today I chose one from our rental fleet, the very capable and sneaky powerful Doodle.

This e-bike is available to rent for just $20/hour—and to take home for just $899.

Tomorrow morning, I’ll be riding my wife’s old Cannondale road bike into work, and choosing a different e-bike for the ride home.

Ride with me to work today!

Thanks to those who rode with me live this morning and beared with the incredible wind noise. I think I have a better sound setup for tomorrow. We’ll see! 🤞

Here’s the recording with noise reduction and enhanced sound.

All in all, the Peugeot held up well and was a comfortable ride, but I’m happy to give it a completely new set of brake cables and reindex the derailleur alignment this week. Was definitely afraid a couple moments there that the other brake cable could go out and/or I’d start slipping gears.

More to come in a separate post about the phone mount I tested.

Ride with me to work this week!

I’ll be going LIVE 8:30 am Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (5/12-5/15). I hope you’ll join me for my ride into work at .

I’ll be riding and telling you about my old analog bikes on the way into work and then riding home on some of the state-of-the-art e-bikes I get to enjoy from . (Timing of live stream home TBD.)

Tomorrow, we’ll be riding this (if it holds air overnight).

Wednesday, we’ll be riding my wife’s old .

Thursday, we’ll be riding the old I rebuilt as a Christmas gift for my son.

Friday, we’ll be riding my high-school era . My parents bought it for me the year before college, and it’s partly to blame for getting me into this crazy journey of starting Athens’s largest e-bike store.
