Final update on sub sectionals.

Killian lost in the second round in another great match that was decided in a 3rd set tie breaker. 6-2,2-6(5). Congratulations on a great season.

Justin won a thriller in his second round match after being the one seed and having a bye in round one. Believe it or not his scores were 7-5,8-6. Yes 8-6, but that is a story for another time. Congratulations on heading to sectionals!

This year has been a great success, the team has moved on 6 players to sectionals this Thursday.

1 singles - Logan Anderson
3 singles - Justin Liska
1 doubles - Ayden Knuth and Cohen Newberg
2 doubles - Sam Meyer and Rudy Hartlaub

Congratulations to all!

Sam and Rudy are on their way to sectionals! They easily handled West Bend West 6-1,6-0. Congratulations!

Updates from sub sectionals at Watertown.

Killian, 4 singles rolls with a 6-0,6-0 win to advance to the second round.

Matthew and Seth, 3 doubles, lost a tough one that was a lot closer than the final score, 0-6,2-6. That ends the year for the freshman dynamic duo. Great season.

On Tuesday April, 26th(National Pretzel Day, btw) the Pulaski Red Raiders traveled south, listening to polkas in their pimped out school bus. I think they were trying to intimidate the Ships with the chrome rims and the accordion riffs cascading from the windows.

Luckily, the home town team wasn't distracted and was able to go about their business of defending the Lincoln Park home turf with a 5-2 win. A special shout out to Lincoln and Ayman for their huge win at #4 doubles in a 3rd set tie-breaker!

This past Saturday, April 23rd, the Ships got up before dawn and sailed due southwest to the town where some beavers built a dam, to take part in an 8 team, flighted tournament. We knew there would be some head winds ahead, but no one could foresee the hot and gusty conditions that greeted them.

Coach Feller had obviously set the team on the correct course that morning as Lincoln walked away with 4 championships, a second place, a consolation championship, and a very difficult consolation runner-up.

After 8 hard fought hours on the courts, the team could relax and drift back to Manty knowing they were the overall team champions of the 2022 Beaver Dam Invite!

Please see below for Manty's results in each flight

Be sure to stop out at Lincoln Park this tuesday to cheer on the ships in there next battle.

On Thursday April 21st 2022, a pack of Ashwaubenon Jaguars descended on Lincoln Park with dreams of tearing up the sails of the Lincoln Ships. Jaguars are great swimmers and typically ambush their prey in rivers and lakes by leaping into the water.

Unfortunately for the Jags, the mighty Ships dont play tennis in the water and they were able fight back the attack, taking a 6-1 win and sending them back to Ashwaubenon with their tails between their legs.

The Ships played stellar tennis up and down the line up despite the windy condition on the shores of Lake Michigan. See below for full Box score.

Up next for the Ships sail to Beaver Dam to take part in an 8 team invite that starts at 8:30. Come down and join the team, should be a nice day fo watching tennis.

You know what they say, Red Sky at Night, Sailors Delight. Unfortunately for the Bay Port Pirates, that statement isnt always true. They tried to infiltrate the beautiful shores of Red Arrow Park in Manitowoc to take on the mightly Ships of Manitowoc Lincoln.

All the Pirates could see as they arrived was the bright red of the Lincoln Tennis team on the horizon moving forward as ONE TEAM, at FULL STEAM. It was a mighty battle, but when the sun finally set those Pirates were sailing back north, looking for another city and team to ransack.

Congratulations to the Manty Ships on running their season record to 4-0 with a 4-3 triumph over a very good Bay Port team.

Complete Box Score in the images.

Next up for the mighty ships is this Thursday 4/21 @ 4:15. Be sure to stop by Lincoln Park to cheer them on!
