Let me remind everyone that being FIT or getting FIT doesn’t mean you have to be skinny or have ABS. I used to think that all the time. Being FIT and HEALTHY not only comes from physical health but also mental health and they both go hand in hand. Once you realize what you WANT or NEED to make a change then set goals.

I have struggled because I used to want abs but I finally realized with my three knee surgeries that I want to be strong and muscular 💪🏽💪🏽 it would be cool to be sponsored as a fitness model but I don’t have the “IT BODY” but I say screw it and them. I have achieved SO MUCH and continue to. I have gained muscle and strength I never knew I could. My goal was to be able to bench 135 and I’m able to bench 140! What has truly helped me is my mental health and my amazing husband Doug Santiago. He reminds me everyday how amazing I look and pushes me toward my goals when I lose myself.

It’s been a while since I’ve promoted my personal business but IM BACK! 💪🏽💪🏽 if anyone is hesitant we can just chat but I’ve been “skinny”, I’ve been overweight, I’ve been in the best shape of my life, but right now I have different goals and that’s to be healthy and consistent to rehab my knee. How I’m feeling today. YOU are the only person holding yourself back. If you want something put the effort in and be CONSISTENT. There are so many resources out there to accomplish any goal, it’s now up to you to stop making excuses and go for it. Will you fail? Probably. I can’t express how freaking happy and excited I am for .mcallister for not only winning my 12 week challenge but for the progress she has made since February losing 39 pounds! In February she knew she had to make a change and she did it and went in with EVERYTHING SHES GOT and it shows! Not only is she an amazing client, but she is truly an inspiration. When she initially came to me, she was suffering DAILY with chronic gastritis and could only eat certain foods and rarely ANY fruits. Today she is eating just about EVERYTHING she loves with MILD flare ups once in a while. And I mean they are RARE. It has been HARDWORK but today she is enjoying her summer, has a cheat meal and just came back from vacation and STILL LOST WEIGHT and is still progressing. Being healthier doesn’t mean you need to deprive yourself, or work out 2+ hours every day. She is eating some tasty meals and she can attest to that! I haven’t posted in a while! I have been trying to establish myself at my town gym in Oakville at Steel beach! I am still writing workout plans and nutrition plans! I am still progressing with my second acl reconstruction so once I am cleared hopefully within in a few weeks we will get those videos out quick! REMEMBER, this stuff takes time and everyone’s progress progresses differently and at different levels. STOP comparing yourselves to others, ESPECIALLY these fitness models. I currently weigh 165lbs and I know I don’t look it but it still bothers me. I’ve struggled and still struggle with the scale number. Just because someone is a Fitness Trainer, looks smaller, eats healthier or works out, doesn’t mean we don’t go through it. If your nervous about seeing a trainer for these reasons, just remember that we once were where you are and we are here to HELP and NOT JUDGE. I live to help others achieve their goals, especially after my multiple surgeries and being set back I have been blessed to come back from them and YOU CAN OVERCOME ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO.
