We are a women-owned and women-run company founded in 1982 by travel pioneer Susan Eckert. In 2016, Judi Wineland and

her two daughters, Nicole and Erica, purchased the company, ensuring the spirit of AdventureWomen continues forward. In 1978, Judi was one of the first women to launch and run an adventure travel company, Overseas Adventure Travel. A few years later, she founded Tanzanian safari operator Thomson Safaris and subsequently created Thomson Treks, Thomson Family Adventures, and Thomson Collection. Judi, her daughters, passionate staff, and a worldwide Ambassador team have led AdventureWomen to the forefront of women’s adventure travel.

"From the lively bustle of Istanbul to the peaceful view of the Blue Mosque at sunset, this trip has truly engaged every sense. I was unprepared for the depth of history and cultural experience that filled these twelve days of travel. Our wonderful guide steered us expertly around crowds and weather, providing exquisite experiences—including visits to quaint restaurants where we observed traditional preparations by talented women.

The boutique hotels and Cave Hotel were especially enchanting. Cappadocia was spellbinding, with its stunning landscapes, breathtaking balloon ride, and tantalizing underground city. The shopping experiences, from awe-inspiring ceramics to glittering jewelry, were equally overwhelming...

Most importantly, I found a group of warm, wonderful women, each with stories to tell and accomplishments to share, all now embracing self-love. Over the years, Adventure Women has been my therapy"
