Organized baseball in Farmington, Wisconsin
has been a proud tradition since the 1950s. In 2008, in an effort to reorganize the ballpark’s operations, a group of Farmington community members and parents formed Farmington Baseball U.A. This 501(c)(3) non-profit organization owns and operates Farmington ballpark and its baseball and softball programs. supports three different programs at its park:
youth baseball and youth fast-pitch softball (ages 4-16) as well as an adult baseball team. Teams participate in the Jefferson County Youth Baseball Association, Windmill Softball, and Rock River League which brings teams and families from all throughout south central and southeastern Wisconsin to our facility during the season. Our teams are made up of local kids who want to learn the fundamentals of their sport while learning teamwork and sportsmanship. We pride ourselves in providing opportunities to all kids who want to play baseball/softball. No player is turned away because of financial need or physical/mental disabilities. Our facilities
Our site is located on approximately 8 acres of land at the intersection of Hwy B and Hwy D and contains a concession stand, bathroom building, storage shed, batting cage, and two and a half baseball fields, one of which has lights. We maintain and operate our park including all lawncare, field and building needs and repairs. How do we operate? Our organization is run by a Board of Directors which currently has 11 members. The Board is made up of parents of players as well as local community members. This group is responsible for making decisions to help our organization function and grow successfully. How are we funded? Not only do we maintain our facility ourselves, we also provide coaches for all our teams, staff for our concession stand, and uniforms for every player. All of this is accomplished with the help of countless volunteer hours. Our operation is mainly supported through our concession stand, but we fundraise throughout the year. Private donations also help. All of the funds that we earn or otherwise receive are put directly back into our facility and baseball/softball programs.
