Obviously not us, but we had similar issues in our first building when the grease traps from the pizza place above us would back up the sewer system flooding the entire gym. It’s frustrating, damaging, and challenging to deal with. runs a solid business with a good member base and we hope they get through this.

Come get your prizes! Congrats to and for their outstanding performances yesterday. We’ve got some prize packs provided by with products from and James ended with a 1568 total at 198 including a 677 deadlift and Delana came out with a 654 at inter 140 pounds in the 148 class. Outstanding work to everyone who participated yesterday.

That’s really all we have to say. A huge thank you to everyone who came to our Beers, BBQ & Barbells event and to all the athletes who let us be part of their powerlifting journey. We’re not a typical gym in many ways, but we strive to be great at what we do, and what we want to be the greatest at is bringing strong people together to be stronger. So, to all the lifters, spectators, helpers, and members who came by today, we appreciate you more than you know. You make what we love doing easy.

Just a quick update for next weekend's Beers, BBQ & Barbells meet. I posted it on YouTube because I'm told I am long-winded. Plus, Hunter and I are entering into a dangerous rivalry of YouTube viewership between Jefferson Barbell and The Muscle Shop.

A millisecond of separation determined the winner of this race. This is the competition elite athletes expect. Every person in this picture is daring the guy next to him to beat him. Running away from the crowd means you’re in the wrong crowd, so get with a crowd of athletes that are on your level and watch yourself improve. If you’re a casual athlete then this doesn’t apply, but if you want to trigger your success you need to push the limits. In 12 days on August 17th we’re offering everyone around a free shot to show up or be exposed at the 2024 Beers, BBQ & Barbells event. Don’t be the strongest guy in the weakest gym.
