Hold up, wait a minute.
Phones be off the hook today ladies and gents.
All of us in the firearm industry are super excited with the news and what that means for NFA items going forward! Now for the time being we have several questions ourselves about how we proceed. Here are the current things we know which isn't much.
1. As of July 1st 2026, suppressors are no longer listed as a destructive device, per South Dakota Codified Law.
2. There is a ton of information being spread online. (big surprise)
3. There is no directive on how to proceed from the ATF.
4. There is still time for an injunction that can happen within 60 days.
5. It is unknown if this includes SBRs, SBSs, and AOW. Our understanding is that Form 1s are not included.
6. We will still sell you a suppressor/silencer but, we will offer you the choice in waiting for further guidance per ATF regulations or submit through a Form 4.
7. Our suppressor buyers have had their Form 4 submitted in 20 minutes or less in store.
8. Our average approval times on an Individual Form 4 have been 5 days.
9. Our record is 18 hours on an approval.
10. There is not a better time to buy a suppressor than right now. Yesterday was an acceptable answer.
