The good fishing out of Wilson continues with a steady pick of salmon. We fished with the Waldron family Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. We ended their trip with 32 4 38 salmon and a big cooler of filets for them to take home. We practiced catch and release with the smaller fish supporting the future of our fishery. We have some open dates in May if anyone wants to get in on the action!

Another great day of fishing but this time out of Wilson and over by the Niagara bar. Doubles, triples and all the fish we wanted. This was another trip with family members which is always special!

We had another nice day fishing on the Daybreak III yesterday with a variety of species. We caught brown trout, walleye, coho salmon and lake trout! We don’t normally pick up walleye while brown trout fishing so that was a nice surprise with a respectable 7-pounder. It was a pleasure spending time and making memories with family on this trip!

The Daybreak III has been christened with plenty of fish slime. So far we have landed brown trout, lake trout and coho salmon. Really liking the new boat!

The Daybreak III was launched today at Krenzer Marine to test and calibrate all of the equipment and learn about the electronics. I pulled it home to the lake house to finish some rigging over the weekend and load all the fishing gear. Hope to fish Monday and get some slime on the deck! For reference on size compared to the Daybreak II I have attached photos from the day I brought each of them home. We start a new chapter now!

Boat name, hailing port and registration numbers are installed. Progress continues!

The boat rigging continues to progress. Should finish up next week and planning a splash down on the 15th for testing. Hope to be fishing by the 20th!
