Jr. Wahawks Baseball Competitive Youth Travel Baseball Organization Our Mission:
To help Waterloo baseball players develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game.

We will emphasize the basics of batting, fielding, pitching, and base running, ensuring that every player has a strong foundation to build upon. Our coaches are dedicated to creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere where players can thrive.

10U Team Daringer put together a great weekend of baseball at the KQ Sports Cedar River Bash!

The boys opened pool play with an 11-3 win and followed it up with a hard-fought 14-12 victory to secure the #2 seed heading into bracket play. After earning a first-round bye Sunday morning, they came out ready to compete in the semifinals.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. Team Daringer jumped out to a commanding 21-1 lead in the bottom of the second inning before the game was called due to weather. With the remainder of the tournament canceled, the boys were unable to finish their semifinal matchup or get their chance to compete for a championship.

While not the ending they hoped for, this group finished the weekend undefeated at 3-0 and brought home a 2nd place finish. More importantly, they played hard, supported one another, and represented the Jr. Wahawks program with pride all weekend long.

Great job, boys! Keep building. 💪🏻⚾️🥈

🏆 9U CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What a weekend for these boys at the KQ Sports Cedar River Bash!

Pool play started late Saturday in some of the hottest temperatures we’ve seen this year, and the team was immediately tested with back-to-back games. They opened the tournament with a 23-8 win before coming up just short in game two, 20-15, earning the #3 seed heading into bracket play.

That set up an 8:00 a.m. rematch Sunday morning against the same team that handed them their only loss of the weekend. The boys answered in a big way, rolling to a 17-5 victory to punch their ticket to the championship game.

With no break and another back-to-back game ahead of them, they dug deep, battled through the heat, stayed focused, and left everything on the field. Their hard work paid off as they brought home the championship with a 17-10 win! 🏆

This weekend was about more than the scores. It was about resilience, toughness, teamwork, and refusing to quit when things got hard. These boys showed tremendous heart all weekend long, and we’re incredibly proud of the way they competed for each other.

The Waterloo West Varsity Baseball team spent their evening sitting behind home plate cheering on our 9U boys. To some, that may seem like a small gesture. To a 9-year-old baseball player, it’s everything.

These young athletes spend countless hours practicing, learning the game, and dreaming big. Getting the chance to interact with and be supported by the players they’re hoping to become someday is a reminder that those dreams are within reach.

Thank you to the Waterloo West Baseball program for investing in the next generation. The impact of moments like this extends far beyond the baseball field.

🏆 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

The 14U Syharath boys brought home the championship this weekend at the TBT Sports Prairie Hawks Classic NIT in Fairfax!

The weekend started with a tie in pool play, followed by a big 20-8 win to secure the #3 seed heading into bracket play. The boys came ready to work today, opening the day with a 15-4 victory to punch their ticket to the championship game.

After a slow start in the title game, they settled in, played as a team, and showed exactly what they’re capable of when it mattered most. The result? Another strong 15-4 win and some championship hardware heading back to Waterloo!

Beyond the wins, this group represented the Jr. Wahawks program incredibly well all weekend. They competed hard, stayed loud for their teammates, showed great sportsmanship, and supported one another every step of the way. Their energy, attitude, and teamwork were on full display, and they had a lot of fun doing it.

13U Doeden battled through a long day at the Cornshucker Sports Touch ’Em All Tournament in Waterloo and brought home some new hardware! 💍

The boys opened the day with an 11-4 win in pool play before dropping a hard-fought 6-4 game, earning the #3 seed heading into bracket play. They responded with another impressive 11-4 victory in the semifinals to punch their ticket to the Gold Bracket Championship game.

After four games, a full day at the ballpark, and battling the heat, the boys came up short in the championship but finished as tournament runners-up.

Proud of the grit, resilience, and effort these players showed from first pitch to last. Another great day representing Jr. Wahawks Baseball and adding a little more hardware to the collection! ⚾️ 🥈

Big night for the Jr. Wahawks Baseball Club! ⚾🔥

Tonight, the Jr. Wahawks will be recognized at the Waterloo Bucks game as the 2026 recipient of the Share the Glove Equipment Grant through the Northwoods League Foundation!

This is an incredible honor for our program and a huge win for youth baseball in the Cedar Valley. The Share the Glove initiative helps provide equipment and resources to organizations that are making an impact in their communities. (northwoodsleague.com)

Huge thank you to Community Motors and the Chevy Youth Baseball & Softball Program for selecting Jr. Wahawks Baseball Club as a 2026 recipient of the Chevy Youth Baseball Program! ⚾🔥

Today we had the opportunity to pick up an incredible amount of equipment that will directly benefit our players and teams throughout the season, including first aid kits, training gloves, catcher’s gear, and practice balls. In addition, our 10U Daringer team was awarded a $500 donation to support their season!

Programs like this make a huge impact on youth sports organizations like ours. The continued support from community partners helps us create better experiences for our athletes while continuing to grow the game of baseball here in Waterloo.

We are extremely grateful to Community Motors for supporting local youth athletics and investing in the future of our players. Seeing some of our Jr. Wahawks athletes there today to represent the program made this even more special!
