We’re a little late today & service has been awful

We have the cars over at the grandstands for a bit for Smith Drywall night, then it’s right to racin at Land of Legends Raceway NY🟢

P6 at lolr. Started 4th lead the first few laps, got "dumped" "f*cked" "nubba'd" "bubba'd" or whatever you want to call it while leading. Car couldn't miss us and hit us in the left while we were sitting still. Bent the rear end a good inch, bent the lower trailing arms and all the rear mounts and a brand new beadlock and tire. Very expensive night for us. Rebounded to 6th after my guys got our tire changed. Win some, lose some, get some get taken away from you. Chop, cut, & rebuild time.

🌧️ TONIGHT’S RACING HAS BEEN CANCELED — LAND OF LEGENDS RACEWAY 🌧️

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has won this one.

A torrential downpour late this morning dropped a tremendous amount of rain in a very short period of time, causing havoc on the racetrack and throughout the facility.

At this point, we would need plenty of sunshine and a lot of wind to have any chance of getting everything dried out and ready for tonight. While the weather predictions continue to be all over the place, another wave of rain appears likely between 1:00 and 3:00 PM.

Our grounds, pit area, and spectator parking simply cannot take on any more water. With that in mind, we are forced to cancel tonight’s racing program at Land of Legends Raceway.

We are extremely disappointed. We wanted to race just as badly as everyone wanted to be here, but the amount of water we received has left us with no other option.

The Empire Street Stock Series will now take place as part of the Top Gun Shootout event on Friday September 18th. Also rescheduled will be the Scoppo Special for Saturday August 29th.

Thank you to our race teams, fans, employees, sponsors, and everyone who continues to support Land of Legends Raceway. It’s been a trying year and we thank you for sticking with us.

☔️☔️ As much as we wanted to race on the 4th we will take the time off to celebrate the holiday!!! Next week is autograph night see everyone there!!

Unfortunately, due to heavy rainfall overnight and this morning, combined with an unfavorable forecast for this afternoon and evening, Land of Legends Raceway has made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s racing program for Saturday, July 4.

With several race teams traveling from hours away, we felt it was only fair to make this decision rather than have teams spend valuable time, fuel, and money only to arrive and be faced with a possible rainout.

We’re especially disappointed for the Scoppo family, who have dedicated so much time and effort into making this event possible. We are already working on a new date for the Scoppo Special and will announce the rescheduled event as soon as those plans are finalized.

We sincerely appreciate everyone’s understanding and continued support. We hope you all have a safe, happy, and enjoyable Fourth of July weekend as we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States.

We’ll see everyone back at Land of Legends Raceway next week!
