Cedar Valley Jaycees' Waterloo Open The Cedar Valley Jaycees’ Greater Waterloo Open Golf Classic was established in 1933, the Waterloo 2022 with be the 89th Annual Jaycees' Waterloo Open!

The Waterloo Open is the largest and longest-running professional tournament in Iowa. This year, the tournament will take place July 14-17 with the following schedule:

The Pro/Sponsor event and Long Drive competition will be held on Thursday, July 14th at Irv Warren Memorial Golf Course at Byrnes Park. The Pro/Sponsor tournament is a shotgun event that consists of approximately 30 teams that incl

ude one professional and four sponsor players. Each player plays his or her own ball on every hole, and the three low net scores on each hole are used to calculate the team score. Winners of each flight are awarded gift certificates to the Irv Warren Memorial Pro Shop and the professionals are awarded cash prizes. The amateur tournament showcases all three of Waterloo’s public golf courses. The amateur tournament starts on Friday, July 16th. All participants play a qualifying round at Gates Park Golf Course and South Hills Golf Course on Friday and Saturday. The low 40 and ties using the combined scores at both courses have the opportunity to join their professional counterparts on Sunday at Irv Warren Memorial Golf Course for the final round. Amateurs are awarded gift certificates to the three local Pro Shops.

180 professional golfers from around the world will tee it up at Irv Warren Memorial Golf Course on Friday and Saturday, July 15th and 16th, with their sights set on the first-place prize. Happy Friday! Tomorrow is our annual Gift of Giving event where we take kids shopping to buy gifts for their families (and maybe surprise them at the end...)

Anyway - WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!! I want to invite more kids, but in order to do that, I need more helpers for each kid. I've got about 50 so far and about 50 kids so far - come help!!

While we love spending the 3rd weekend of every July with all of you in the Summer, this right here is why The Waterloo Open exists. Proceeds from The Waterloo Open support projects like Back to School Backpack Project and the Gift of Giving!

With a tournament total of 27 under par, Will Dickson is our 2022 Champion!

He has not only won the $50,000 purse, but will also take home the lowest round bonus of $1,000 shooting 11 under par for a 61.
