Reznicek Family Tornado Update:
We have made a good start at cleaning up. Big thanks to everyone who has come out to help over the past three days. We've had family, friends, church friends, etc. We've had random strangers walking up offering to help, to give us food and water, to lend us chainsaws and trucks. It's been pretty overwhelming. We've made a good dent in the picking up phase. After 3 days we're probably about half done. We're going to take a break until next weekend becuase we have a busy week, everyone else is busy, and frankly we're pretty exhausted. We'll try to make a push for next Saturday and Sunday to see if we can finish up the cleanup.
One thing I'll say is that we've removed a lot of tree branches and trees that are damaged that are small/medium. But we're starting to get into some trees that are more serious and might need experienced or professional help. If anyone has any contacts for that please let me know.
After we come to the end of the clean-up we will start the rebuilding process. That's a whole other phase that we're still tyring to get our minds around. Figuring out where to start, and what materials we will need. And whether we have help and how to coordiate it. It's going to be a long road to get back to normal.
Also we've make a good start at our GoFundMe fundraiser. We really appreciate everyone who has contributed there! We've had donations coming in from friends and strangers, people out of town who can't travel in to help, and people who don't know us but had our post shared by someone else. We really appreciate everyone's help in any way. Be it donations, comments, prayers, coming out to help clean up. Thank you all!
