Heck of a week for a 50 miler from Long lake to Tupper via Raquette river! Even with the rain and various storms it was an amazing trip with high spirits and fun had all around! Always remember to prepare for the worst situations ahead of time, pack multiple contingencies and camp smart! Raquette looks like the everglades but paddled like a dream. Thank you to the rangers for their hard work, diligence and safety checks! Always reassuring to know they’re always there.

This week was my turn. Troop 108 50 mile canoe trek! These young men Smashed it! Finished a day early and continued to rack up 87 miles of bonus exploring from Long lake through the Raquette river and into Tupper lake, As a guide I couldn’t be more proud of their enthusiasm, love and care of the outdoors or the sheer willingness to enjoy every minute out there! These boys keep my hopes for the future of conservation high. Thank you gentlemen, it was an honor and a trip Ill never forget! See you boys for hunting season 🏕🏹🌲🛶🎣🇺🇸

2.5 hrs./$150 (solo/duo) +25 for breakfast on the water

4.5 hrs./$300 (solo/duo) Includes stream side meal

*what to expect*

- A rejuvenating day immersed in nature
- Learn to or improve Casting,
-Proper tying of line/leaders/ flies
- How to “read the river” and find the fish
- proper fish handling/ release technique
-how to identify flies/ what to use
- water/ wading safety
- crash course on fish & wildlife anatomy, identification

-NYS fishing license (Valid)
- fly rod ( 8-9ft. 4-6wt) or one will be supplied
- Own flies/lures (if N/A flies will be supplied)
