𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵: 𝗠𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🌅
Every year, I carve out time for what some call "Me Camp" – but I prefer "Gram Camp." It's my sacred week to connect with the grandkids while also creating space for deep reflection on the year behind me and listening for where to focus in the year ahead.

This year's camp was particularly powerful. I spent the week surrounded by nature's beauty – watching sunsets paint the sky over peaceful lakes, enjoying quiet moments in tree-lined settings, and soaking in those precious connections with family.

But it was the equine coaching workshop (yes coaches need coaches, and sometimes they aren't all human!😜 )that ended my week with the clarity I'd been seeking. There's something profound about working with horses – they demand complete authenticity. You can't fake it with them. They mirror back exactly who you're being in that moment.

The message that emerged? 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲, 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻-𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗕𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲.

Here's what hit me: In my entrepreneurial journey, I've fallen into the pattern of thinking I need to know more to do better. Always learning, always growing, always preparing. And while that is important for growth, the truth the horses reflected back to me is this:
𝗜 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱.

It's time to lean into leading with what I know, who I am, and what I believe. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗻! The outcomes this week have already created opportunities!
Sometimes the most powerful insights come not from another course or book, but from a week of slowing down, connecting with what matters, and listening to what's already within us.
𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻.

Joy is like when your whole body feels happy and light, like you might float up to the ceiling! It's that bubbly, warm feeling you get when something really wonderful happens.

You know how you feel when you see your best friend running toward you at the playground? Or when you take that first bite of your favorite ice cream on a hot day? Or when you finally master riding your bike without training wheels?

That's joy - it's happiness that's so big it makes you want to jump up and down, laugh out loud, or maybe even happy-cry!

For me it's coming over the crest of the walkway to the beach and seeing the ocean again after a long time is true joy!

Joy feels like sunshine spreading through your chest, making everything seem brighter and more colorful. It's different from just being happy - it's like happiness that's so excited it can't sit still. Sometimes joy makes you want to dance, sometimes it makes you want to hug everyone around you, and sometimes it just makes you smile so big your cheeks hurt.

The really cool thing about joy is that it's contagious - when you feel it, other people around you start feeling it too!

Sometimes it's helpful to look for, and find joy. Today I was invited by On a Dragonfly's Wings, an organization that helps kids and families talk about mental health in a kind and safe way, to offer a workshop to kids to do just that!

It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since Origin Coaching became part of this incredible community. I’ve had the privilege of not only attending but also engaging with so many incredible professionals who are passionate about making an impact.
