Thank you to everyone who came out to the induction ceremony. Please excuse my tardiness for posting as I have been sick. Pictures will be coming soon, once again only a few since I was sick but I will make it an album that you all can add photos/videos from the night if you wish too.

Unfortunately, we did learn some sad news over the weekend that one of our inductees, Kristal Lewis passed away last Thursday. We don't have any details. Please keep Kristal and her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Finally, Ray Snyder Jr. He truly is a city affiliated individual (son of the mayor) and coached at numerous schools but it all started at Crosby.
Ray Snyder Jr. was a standout multi-sport athlete at Crosby, playing three years of football, but made his greatest impact in swimming as both a competitor and coach. As a swimmer, he earned All-American honors in the 200 Freestyle and 200 Medley Relays, was a four-time All-City and three-time All-NVL selection, and captured both State and New England championships. As a coach, Snyder built a remarkable 214–61 record over 21 seasons, winning fifteen City Championships, seven NVL titles, and four State Championships. At Crosby, he led the program to a 160–33 record, including four undefeated seasons and the school’s only state title in 1975. He later revitalized the Sacred Heart program, guiding both the boys and girls teams to multiple league and state successes. Beyond wins and titles, Snyder helped develop All-American athletes, launched middle school swim programs in Waterbury, and played a key role in planning the Crosby-Wallace pool. His lasting impact is honored through awards bearing his name, recognizing top swimmers in the NVL and Waterbury Public Schools.

Ray passed away but his family will be in attendance to accept on his behalf.

Next up Mike Pecock:

Mike Pekock was a distinguished four-year Varsity athlete in both baseball and basketball. On the baseball diamond, Mike was a dominant pitcher who anchored some very successful teams. In 1984 he was a key factor in leading the Bulldogs to the Class LL state title game, marking the first time a Waterbury Public School team reached that level. During his tenure, he was a three-time all-City and two-time NVL star, and earned the 1984 Charles Jarvis Outstanding Player Award for the Naugatuck Valley League. He was also a member of the 1985 City and NVL Championship Basketball Team. After leaving Crosby, Mike attended the University of New Haven. While at UNH, Mike continued his pitching dominance. He earned first team All-New England Collegiate Conference honors, and helped lead his team to Division II College World Series appearances in 1986, 1987, and 1988. After college, Mike embarked on a thirty-four year career in the electronic security industry.

Mike recently accepted a new job and will be unable to attend the induction ceremony.

To start our last set of inductees bios, meet Kristal Lewis:
Kristal Lewis established herself as one of the most accomplished sprinters in Bulldog Track history, leaving behind a legacy defined by speed, versatility, and consistency. A superior competitor in both individual and relay events, she set numerous program benchmarks during her career. By the time she graduated, Lewis held school records in nine events, including the indoor 55m, 300m, 4x200, and 4x400 relays, as well as the outdoor 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100, and 4x400 relays. Her impact continues to be felt, as she still holds the outdoor 400-meter school record with an impressive time of 58.91 seconds, along with the indoor 4x400 relay mark. Lewis’s achievements reflect not only her individual talent but also her vital role in elevating her team’s overall performance. Beyond her track success, Kristal has dedicated herself to helping others through a career in social work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, continuing her commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves.

Our final profile today goes to the all-time leading scorer in NVL and Crosby history, Mr. Tyshon Rogers.
Tyshon Rogers class of 2014 - football and basketball ,
Tyshon Rogers played 2 years of football and 4 years of basketball at Crosby High School, He started all 4 years of varsity basketball for Crosby. Tyshon won 3 NVL championships Freshman, Junior, and senior year for the Bulldogs. Tyshon still holds the NVL scoring record that he broke 10+ years ago. He also broke the scoring record for at an all star game where the record was at 42 point, Tyshon scored 44 to beat the record. After graduating from Crosby, Tyshon continued his basketball career at Mont Clare Academy prep school in Philadelphia. He also went to 2 division 1 junior colleges named Paris Junior College and Odessa Junior College.
