If a teacher, mentor, coach, practitioner or leader leaves you feeling disempowered, don’t walk away.

RUN.

I’ve been in the healing space for a while. And it genuinely pains me to see gifted healers and teachers take something beautiful and turn it into power and control. Leading their clients and students to a place of dependency instead of freedom.

That’s not healing. That’s harm.

Choose someone instead who:

1. Believes in your capability
2. Celebrates your wins
3. Teaches you to trust yourself
4. Helps you find your own answers
5. Appreciates the value you add to their life

You are a whole, capable, and wise being. You deserve a space that feels safe to be you.

Not a space that makes you smaller. Not a leader who needs you to need them.

When you choose the right coach, mentor, or practitioner you will leave every session feeling more like yourself. More clear. More confident. More free.

That’s the standard. Don’t settle for less.

If you’re ready for that kind of container, send me a DM. I’m here for you.

Progress over perfection. Your brain will lie to you about this if you let it.

The brain is wired to look for the gap. The problem.

What’s not working. And if you follow that thread without interrupting it, it will take you down a spiral that makes you want to quit.

I’ve had chronic pain for 24 years. I’m almost 40. That’s more than half my life.

I’ve had pain-free periods before. But they never lasted long. And for the last couple of years I’ve been in a stretch of pain again.

I’ve been applying The Becoming Framework to this. And I’m getting results.

But this week I had two days with pain. And I felt frustrated. Discouraged. Like it wasn’t working.

And then I did what I teach my clients to do. I looked at the actual evidence.

I was pain-free four days this week.

Four days. That’s progress. That’s the framework working. But my brain wanted to tell me I was failing.

I’m choosing a new belief. That I can feel ease, comfort, freedom and vitality in my body every day. I’m not there yet. But I’m more there than I was.

We have to intentionally look for progress. See that it’s working. So we keep going.

What are you making progress on this week? Tell me below. I want to celebrate it with you. 👇

I’ve been processing a lot of emotion lately.

Not because something is wrong. Because I’ve decided to stop avoiding the ones that show up.

In school nobody taught us what to do with emotions. So we learned to act them out, push them down, or find ways to stay busy enough to avoid them altogether.

But here’s what I know now.

Emotions don’t go anywhere. You can’t outrun them. You can’t outeat them. You can’t logic your way past them. They collect in the body. And over time, that becomes dis-ease.

I decided that if I wanted to live a fully authentic human experience, I had to accept this fully human part of me.

She trusts her work.
She trusts that she will keep going.
She trusts that the money will continue to flow.

That’s what I was writing in my journal. That’s the woman I’m becoming. And processing emotion is part of how I’m getting there.

It’s not always easy. But it is simple. And it makes life more colorful.

I’m teaching my members inside Grow a Thriving Practice how to process emotion as it comes. So it stops collecting. So it stops running the show.

What if rest was part of the work?

Not a reward for finishing everything on your list. Not something you earn when things slow down. But an actual requirement for doing your best work and building a practice that lasts.

I became an entrepreneur so I could choose when to work, rest, and play. And I'm choosing rest right now.

Episode 182 is about why rest is productive and the thoughts that make it possible to actually believe that.

Go give it a listen. 🌿 Link in bio.

I've worked with so many practitioners who want a thriving practice, but their mindset is stuck in scarcity.

"My offer isn't good enough."
"No one understands what I do."
"I'm going to have to work really hard to make the income I want."

Here's the truth: Your thoughts ultimately create your results.

If you want a thriving business, you have to cultivate a thriving mindset first.

You have to believe in your offer.
You have to be crystal clear on who you serve and how you help them.
And you have to believe the right people are out there and they will find you.

This kind of thinking doesn't come naturally to most of us. We have to retrain our brains to think intentionally.

It's one of the hardest things to do without a coach.

This is what we build inside Grow a Thriving Practice. Link in bio 💛

What are your questions about coaching?

Because I want to answer them honestly.

Here’s what a coach actually does.

I help you see your own mind. I help you make the unconscious conscious. I help you gain awareness of the thought-emotion-behavior loop that is creating your current results. And then I teach you how to create new loops. Useful ones. Powerful ones.

Yesterday I worked with a client who went from dreading her business to-do list to genuinely excited about tackling it.

One session.

Not because I gave her a new strategy. Because something shifted in how she was thinking about herself and her work.

And here’s something people don’t expect about group coaching. Just watching someone else get coached can give you your own breakthrough. Because we are more alike than we are different. Someone else’s struggle becomes your mirror. Someone else’s shift becomes your permission.

If you’re checking your inbox hoping for a booking and finding nothing. If you know your work helps people but can’t figure out why they aren’t coming. If you dread showing up online.

This is for you.

Don’t tell yourself you can’t afford it because you don’t have the time or the money. Don’t think you just need one more certification before you’re ready.

Those thoughts? That’s the old loop running. And it’s keeping you right where you are.

When the person holding the plate changes, everything on the plate changes with her.

This Thursday at 8am Pacific I’m hosting The Becoming. A free 90-minute masterclass where I’m teaching the exact 5-step framework to become the version of you who stops letting fear make her decisions. Who shows up for her practice with full confidence. Who doesn’t wait to feel ready.

And if you’ve been thinking about joining Grow a Thriving Practice, the doors close June 1 at midnight.

Entrepreneurship requires emotional resilience.

But most of us were never taught what that actually means.

It's NOT:
→ Pushing through hard emotions
→ Ignoring how you feel
→ Forcing positive thinking to try and shift your emotions

It IS:
→ Becoming aware of the emotions creating drag in your system
→ Allowing and processing difficult emotions
→ Giving yourself permission for difficult emotions to be present while you move forward

Emotions have a place in business. They're what drive aligned action-taking.

When you learn to work with your emotions instead of against them, everything shifts.

This is foundational work we do inside Grow a Thriving Practice. Link in bio 💛

I came home from a women’s retreat different.

Our facilitator led us through an exercise. She asked us to choose a part of our body that needed some love. And then: what would your 5-year-old self need to hear about that part?

I chose my belly. And I started writing.

Your belly is your power.
Your belly holds wisdom.
Your belly knows before your mind does.
Your belly is the one to listen to.

Your belly processes food, emotions, energy.
Your belly is where your creativity resides.
Your belly feels. Your belly has intelligence.

And then this came through:

The world has taught you to disconnect from your belly. The world fears the power that resides there. The wisdom. The knowing. The magic.

No wonder we’ve been taught to hide it. To suck it in. To be ashamed of it.

But your belly is your will. It moves your breath. It holds your power.

I love my belly.

My belly has protected me. It has kept me safe. It has held all sorts of programs and identities. And now, it can be free.

I free my belly.
I honor my belly.
I’m grateful for the belly I have.
I accept the belly that is mine.

This is the kind of work that changes how you show up for everything. Including your practice.

If this landed for you, put your hand on your belly right now. Take a breath. Let it expand.

What part of your body needs to hear something kind today? 👇

That voice in your head that says you’re not enough? It doesn’t go away on its own.

It doesn’t matter if you’re brand new or 12 years in. When there’s a subconscious program running in the background telling you you’re not capable, it keeps running until you intentionally rewire it.

And it costs you more than you realize.

You overprepare and still feel underprepared. You second guess your pricing, your offers, your expertise.

You hold back from opportunities that are actually meant for you. You keep waiting to feel ready.

What you actually want is to walk into a room and just know you’ve got this. To have the insecure thought come up and not be moved by it. To make decisions from clarity instead of fear.

That’s what’s possible. And it’s not about faking it.

You have to choose to believe something different.

Episode 181 is a good one. I recorded it from my car on the way to co-facilitate a women’s retreat. I share exactly what capability work looks like in real time, two practical steps to start building evidence for your own capability, and why your brain is wired to work against you here.

Go give it a listen. 🌿
