The Waterbury-Stowe Fish and Game Club Is located on a 33 acre parcel of land on Route 100 in Waterbury Center, Vermont. The club was established in 1949 with by-laws being adopted in March of 1950. This year will be our 64th anniversary (2013) and we are very proud the club has devoted members to keep it in existence. Over the years the club suffered through some difficult times until a group of
sportsmen united in 1989 and revitalized the club. At present, the club has 300 members and is very active throughout the year. The clubhouse and outdoor pavilion are available to be rented for private events. If you are interested in these offerings, please FB message or feel free to contact us for additional information, prices and/or the availability of certain dates. Wednesday nights are designated to archery so no firearm shooting is allowed. The archery trail winds around behind the s***t/trap fields and the rifle range. So Wednesday is their day to use it without having to worry about safety. When using the ranges, if you put a target up and shoot, take it down and dispose of it. There is a trashcan by the benches. If it is full, empty it in the dumpsters by the clubhouse. If something is not right or broken down, please notify us so we can fix it. Again, FB message orcall us! There are NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON ANY RANGES. If an accident should occur on the range, and anyone was drinking, the club would be no more. We have worked very hard into making the Club a great place for members to enjoy. S***t shooting opens in May and stops the end of October. There is no exact date but it usually starts once the fields dry out and stops once it gets cold enough nobody wants to shoot any more. If you've never shot s***t before and are interested in learning, the s***t manager can give a guided session. Also if you are interested in booking the s***t fields for a group s***t event, please FB message or feel free to call us. Any day of the week any member can fish. This is catch and release only. Flies and artificial lures only for 16 and over. Kids under 16 may use worms or live bait. Kids may keep only one fish. All others are catch and release. If you keep the fish, we have a box by the fish feeder hanging on the s***t house by the pond, please leave a couple of bucks so we can restock. If many fish are caught using worms and you are releasing them, please cut the hook off. The survival rate will increase for the fish. We want everyone to cooperate. If you are fishing in the pond and other members would like to shoot s***t, please work out a compromise while being courteous to fellow members. The club encourages members to use it. Even if you don't shoot or fish, come up and have a picnic. It is a beautiful place. We can always use help when we have activities going on. Don't be afraid to ask us! If you drive into the club and open the gate, please lock it when you leave. If you are on the club grounds and another member drives in when you are about to leave, ask that member to please lock the gate. This is due to insurance reasons. Only members and their guests are allowed in the WSFG club. The only time non-members are allowed on the club grounds is when the club is hosting a festivity such as a party, wedding, or BBQ.
