It is Fathers Day, so if you don’t show up to shoot, Happy Father’s Day to you. Shooting again on Tuesday. We have a quarterly meeting coming up on July 1st so we hope to see you at 6:30. That’s it for now. Take care and be safe.

Me again with the weekly blurb. Thursday night there is a retirement party in the Clubhouse. Friday we’ll be shooting s***t around 11 am. This is what we’ve been working on. It’s a new set of steps for the high house on field 2. They’re pretty swanky for our little old club. Thanks to Steve Scherer for his time and expertise. We will be shooting the usual times and days. The grass has been cut a couple of times now and everything is green and growing. We held the fishing derby and the 25-30 kids who showed up had a blast. The fish even cooperated. Bill, Silas and George did an awesome job with every aspect of it, food included. The VTHSRAhas their last shoot on Saturday so the range will be closed for an hour or two. I think they are starting at 10. Anyway, enjoy the warmer weather, I know I’m going to.

I wanted to thank everyone who came out last Saturday to help clean up the Club. It wasn’t much of a day for painting but we did get things cleaned up and some targets moved. Thanks to Kirk for providing a tractor and for Bill for a great meal. We will be shooting tomorrow around 11. Saturday there is a memorial service. The range will be closed at noon for an hour-1 1/2. Sunday is the fishing derby. It begins at 9 and runs to 11. There will be hotdogs, chips and drinks for the kids. There will be prizes handed out as usual. Adults are only allowed to assist the fisher-people, not actually do the fishing for them. We will be shooting Sunday at noon as usual . We will be shooting Tuesday afternoon and evening again next week. Hope to see you on the range now that it looks like it may finally warm up some.

We will be shooting Friday and Sunday again this week. Bring your Mom along Sunday and she can shoot a round for free. We will be shooting next Tuesday as well and someone will be there until 5:30 or so to allow folks to shoot after work if they’d like to. There are no events this weekend so get out and make use of the ranges, within the posted hours of course. There is a celebration of life booked for the 16th and the range may be closed for an hour or so. The fishing derby is the 17th. Anyway, to all the Moms out there, have a great Mother’s Day.

Friday we will be shooting starting around 11. Saturday is cleanup day with lunch and water provided. We will have all the required tools and supplies on hand. Sunday there is a memorial service but the ranges are operating normally. Starting this coming Tuesday we will be keeping the s***t range open so that those of you that work and can not make the Friday or Sunday shooting will have the opportunity to shoot after work. The early shooting will still be taking place starting around 2 but I plan on being there starting at 4:30 and staying to 5:30 or so. So come on out and break some clays. This will be the case throughout the summer. Good luck to those of you trying to coax Tom Turkey into your sights during the spring season.

Here we go again. The weather is finally starting to cooperate and things are getting busy. There is a memorial service Saturday so the range will be closed a few hours, from 10- 1. We will be shooting s***t Friday and Sunday as usual. We will be doing our annual cleanup day on May 2nd. Come on out if you have some time to help. There is a memorial service on May 3rd as well, but they haven’t asked for quiet time for a service so we will be shooting at noon if anyone is interested. Hope to see you on the range or at the Club soon. Take care.
