WHS Cheer proudly celebrates an exceptional accomplishment today.

Returning cheerleaders and newly selected 2026–2027 Cheer captains
Jaycee Thompson, Paisley McFarland, Ken’Iya Jackson, and Madison Maxey have been inducted into the National Honor Society. This distinguished recognition reflects their dedication to academic excellence, leadership, service, and character.

We are also pleased to welcome new cheer member Alli Despain, who has likewise been inducted into the National Honor Society.

Congratulations to these outstanding students for their achievements and for representing WHS with pride and excellence.

What an incredible night celebrating our WHS Cheerleaders at our annual cheer banquet! 💙📣

We are so thankful for everyone who came out to support these amazing girls. Your presence truly means the world to us, and it made the night even more special. A huge thank you to all of our parents—your constant support, encouragement, and dedication do not go unnoticed. We appreciate you more than words can say!

We also want to give a big shoutout to our Principals, Mr. Danford and Mr. Kennedy, your support means so much to our program and to each of these girls.

We are beyond grateful for such a successful cheer season, filled with growth, hard work, and unforgettable memories. And we are already so excited to get started on the new season! With new faces joining the team and returning athletes ready to lead the way, we know big things are ahead for WHS Cheer.

Huge congratulations to two of our very own Waskom High School alumni, Olivia Thurston and Kadie Gossens! 🎉

Our former captains competed in Daytona this year with the ETBU Cheer Team and brought home an incredible 2nd place finish! 🏆
