The Alaska Center for the Martial Arts We are a multi-style martial arts school with emphasis on traditional values of hard work, respect, We are also a direct bill vendor with most homeschools.

ACMA offers martial arts of all kinds with a strong focus on respect, self-development, and self-defense. We have programs for kids and adults, offering instruction in striking, grappling, weapons, and other self-defense skills. We offer a free one-on-one introductory lesson and free classes to try it out and see if you like it.

Hi folks,

Just a quick note to let you all know that the studio is open for normal classes today. We generally tell people to assume we're open if we don't say we're closed, but folks always wonder on days like this.

That said, please do make safe choices about travel today!

Hi folks,

Wind being what it is and with power being intermittent at the studio, we're going to make an early call to close the studio today to make sure word gets out and people can plan for it.

As always, please get with us about scheduling any makeup classes as necessary. Unless you hear otherwise from us, you can assume we're open tomorrow.

Monday night sparring class was small (but more than these two, I promise). We worked on fighting out of corners and keeping awareness of the terrain around us.

Don't forget that sparring class is Mondays from 6:30-7:15 and is open to anybody who's already attending two regular classes per week!
