🔥 BLACK FLAG BREAKDOWN | LEG EXTENSION 🔥

Trying to grow your quads without overcomplicating it? The Leg Extension is one of the best ways to isolate the front of your legs and absolutely light your quads up. Great for building strength, adding definition, or finishing off leg day when your legs are already questioning your life choices 😮‍💨

Key Setup:
• Adjust the seat so your knees line up with the machine’s pivot point
• Position the pad comfortably across your lower shin/ankle area
• Hold the handles for support or as an alternative tap the muscle you are working in between reps to help with the mind muscle connection
• Pick a weight you can actually control (your knees will thank you)

Ex*****on:
• Extend your legs up with control, there should be NO swinging or using momentum
• Squeeze your quads at the top for a second (yes, make it burn)
• Lower the weight slowly & don’t just let it crash back down
• Stay controlled and keep tension in the muscle the whole time

Avoid This:
❌ Throwing the weight around
❌ Going way too heavy and losing form
❌ Slamming the stack between reps
❌ Speed running your reps instead of controlling them

Slow it down. Stay intentional. Your quads should be doing the work, not momentum. Build the muscle, don’t just move the weight. 🔥

The original WarHouse Gym dumbbells now permanently reside in Black Flag Republic. We’ve mixed the old with the new, blended tradition with innovation, and resurrected WHG under a new banner while trying to keep the core elements intact. 🏴

Those who know gym lore realize the significance of this Watson dumbbell set. This is my purchase for the gym because some things need to exist and I want this to be part of my story, our story, & your story.

If I accomplish nothing else with this gym, this is enough.

🔥 BLACK FLAG BREAKDOWN | TALL PIT SHARK | PART 2 (RDL) 🔥

The Rogue Fitness Pit Shark Belt Squat Machine isn’t just for squats. Set it up with a V-handle and it becomes a killer Romanian deadlift variation. This setup lets you load the posterior chain hard while keeping the movement smooth, controlled, and easier on your lower back than a traditional barbell RDL.

In short, this is a simple way to dial in hamstrings and glutes without fighting balance.

Key Setup:
• Attach a V-handle to the machine (no belt for this variation)
• Stand tall on the platform holding the handle between your legs
• Keep a slight bend in your knees
• Brace your core and keep your chest up

Ex*****on:
• Push your hips back to start the movement
• Lower the weight with control until you feel a deep hamstring stretch
• Keep the handle close to your body throughout
• Drive your hips forward to stand back up
• Squeeze your glutes hard at the top

Focus Points:
• This is a hinge, not a squat so don’t drop straight down
• Keep your back flat and neutral the entire time
• Control the weight, no jerking or swinging
• Stop where your mobility ends, not where the plates touch

🔥 BLACK FLAG BREAKDOWN | TALL PIT SHARK | PART 1🔥

The Rogers belt squat machine (Pit Shark) is designed to build serious lower body strength without spinal compression. By loading the hips rather than the shoulders, it allows you to isolate the quads, glutes, and hamstrings hard while minimizing stress on your upper body. If barbell squats don’t feel right for you or injuries prevent you from doing them, this is another great, safe alternative.

Key Setup:
• Attach the belt securely and position it comfortably above your hips
• Step onto the platform and position yourself comfortably before starting (feet closer together and standing taller will make it more like a high bar squat vs. feet wider and slight bend forward will make it more like a low bar squat)
• Keep your chest up and core braced throughout the movement (for heavy lifts breathe in and brace your core, hold your breath, go to depth and return to the start, and then exhale. Repeat the process for the next rep.)

Ex*****on:
• Sit down into the squat with control, don’t drop using momentum
• Keep your weight distributed evenly on your feet so you aren’t off balance
• Drive up by squeezing your glutes and quads
• Stay controlled at the bottom, no bouncing is crucial
• Return to the top without fully relaxing tension

Focus Points:
• Control the weight—no swinging or momentum
• Maintain constant tension through the legs
• Keep your torso stable and upright
• Prioritize depth and control over loading too heavy

Why It Hits Different:
• Eliminates spinal compression
• Allows heavier loading without upper body fatigue
• Great for injury-friendly training or accessory leg work
• Isolates lower body effectively and safer (especially for beginners) than traditional squats
