Litchfield Hills Rowing Club Introducing the sport of rowing to the Litchfield Hills since 1967!

The Litchfield Hills Rowing Club was founded in 1978 to promote the sport of crew for residents of the Litchfield area. Through it’s sponsorship of both high school and masters programs, the club is dedicated to making the great sport of rowing available to all individuals who have the desire to participate.

Looking for an active, confidence-building summer experience for your athlete? Join us this summer at Litchfield Hills Rowing Club for our Middle School & Development Programs on beautiful Bantam Lake!

Programs available for athletes entering Grades 5–8:
✅ Barge Explorers (NEW to rowing)
✅ Middle School Foundations
✅ Middle School Skills
✅ Middle School Racing Team

Our development pathway helps athletes grow from beginner rowers into confident teammates and competitors:
Barge Explorers → Foundations → Skills → Racing

Athletes will:
Learn water safety & rowing fundamentals
Build confidence, teamwork & coordination
Develop technical rowing skills
Stay active outdoors all summer long

Whether your athlete is trying rowing for the very first time or preparing for future racing opportunities, we have a program designed for them!

Open House & Nationals Send-Off

Join us this Saturday as we welcome families and future rowers to LHRC, help current members get set for summer, and send off our Nationals-bound athletes before they head to Sarasota!

This Saturday | 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Already registered for a summer program?
Stop by between 8:30–9:30 AM if you still need:
• A key fob
• A parking pass renewal
After 9:30 AM, key fob requests will need to be completed through forms for pickup at a later date.

Come wish our Nationals-bound athletes good luck before they head to Sarasota for the 2026 USRowing Youth National Championships!
