🥇 BUILDING SOMETHING SPECIAL — ONE STEP AT A TIME! 🤼‍♂️

We’re excited to be building a youth wrestling program in our community! We realize that building a successful program doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, dedication, commitment, and a lot of hard work.

We’re starting from the ground up, and we know there will be challenges along the way. But one thing we can promise is that we are dedicated to the kids and to building something they can be proud of.

Our goal is to create an environment where young wrestlers can:

💪 Build confidence
🤼 Learn discipline, sportsmanship, and resilience
🏆 Work hard and compete
🤝 Build friendships and teamwork
⭐ Grow both on and off the mat

We may be just getting started, but we believe in the future of this program. With the support of our families, coaches, volunteers, and community, we can build something that lasts for years to come.

It takes time to build a great program — and we’re committed to putting in the work.

🤼‍♂️ The future starts on the mat!

Stay Hydrated!!!!

We know there have been a lot of questions about the heat expected on Saturday, so we want to share what we know and how we will keep our players as safe and comfortable as possible.

First, please remember that the weather is completely out of our control. We will continue to monitor the conditions and follow all OIFL league and OSSAA safety guidelines.

Here’s what you can expect Saturday:
-We will perform a Wet Bulb test on the field about every 30 minutes to monitor the heat conditions.
-We will also be testing throughout this week to get a better idea of when we are seeing the highest temperatures.
-We will follow the OSSAA game guidelines based on the Wet Bulb reading:
-RED Level: 3 minute break every 6 minutes. All helmets removed, no coaching.
-BLACK Level: 3 minute break every 4 minutes. All helmets removed, no coaching.
-We will have water misters on the sidelines and buckets with cold water and rags available to help players cool down.

Cheerleaders will also be taking frequent breaks.

The most important thing parents can do is help your player hydrate ALL week. Encourage them to drink plenty of water and use hydration packets/electrolytes, especially on Friday and before their game.

Our goal is to be prepared, monitor the conditions closely, and make adjustments when needed. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through the heat together. Player safety will always be our top priority!
