Recruiting can be confusing, especially when every email and game invite feels important.
A college inviting your son to a game can be a great experience, but it does not always mean the staff is actively recruiting him. There is a big difference between receiving a general invite, being personally brought in for a visit, being placed on their recruiting board and having an offer he can actually accept.
That does not mean families should be negative or stop enjoying the process. It just means you should ask honest questions and understand where things really stand.
I put this together because a little clarity can save families a lot of confusion and disappointment. Save it or send it to someone going through recruiting right now.
