Building a Sievers Benchwork outside corner module takes many clamps. The 1/4" plywood is glued together to make the curved face.

This 2' x 8' model train benchwork table is made from two of our 2448 Sections and 3 of our L24 Leg Assemblies. Total cost of benchwork is $250.00 using our 40" leg height. Other leg heights 44" and 48" are available. A great starter layout.

Inside the Sievers School gift shop on Jackson Harbor Rd., Washington Island, is a small display of our Sievers Benchwork product. Most of our sales are through our website, some by phone, a few by mail, but early this week we had our first in store sale. Philip purchased benchwork to make a 4' x 8' table as shown in the Option 2 photo. His wife had been to an estate sale early this year, saw our product and they decided to add a stop to Sievers during their Door County vacation. We were able to box up his order while his wife shopped for handmade gifts. Happy Railroading to you Philip!

What is better than one level of Sievers Benchwork? How about two!
Double dado legs are used for two levels of benchwork sections. A little extra work is involved to set up for the lower level dado on each leg.
A great spot for a staging yard.

Building one of our Sievers Benchwork drawers, which is now on the shop page of our website. You can find it listed with the Angles. We first built these in December of 2023 as a request from a customer. The drawers fit in between the middle cross braces of our sections. Drawer width is 9", length is 19" and the clearance height is 2 3/4". The mounting cleats can be installed before or after you have put a top on your benchwork.

Each order of Sievers Benchwork makes a trip across Porte Des Morts Passage (Door of Death or Death's Door). This is the strait linking Lake Michigan and Green Bay between the northern tip of Door County and Washington Island. Named by the Native Americans in the 17th century for its hidden shoals. unpredictable winds and converging currents that have sunk numerous sailing vessels, wooden boats and canoes. Some customers ask about the island and have even watched the ferry crossing on the wisferry.com/webcams. Our boxes of benchwork that we ship in 3 to 5 days from when we receive the order are placed in a box truck, taken over on one of the 5 ferries to the mainland and picked up by UPS or USMail.
