September 🍁 It’s just so beautiful .. everywhere,
even when nothing is perfect.
And I’m not just talking about the stunning nature or the sidewalk flowers I can’t resist.
I’m talking about the people:
the good-hearted humans,
the quiet light workers
who make it their mission
to keep humanity’s heart open,
its mind clear,
and its feet on the ground.
This month, I met people from organizations dedicated to political and religious depolarization,
efforts I never knew existed before.
My perspective on this country has shifted more times this year than I can count,
which tells me how badly misrepresented it is,
by the media and Hollywood.
Discovering that the work I’ve always dreamed of doing is already happening here has been a heart-warming gift.
But being a witness is no longer enough for me.
Can’t wait for all that’s coming up in October.
