If your dancer is 4 years old we have a few fun options ☺️
- District Tots (Family Class) 4-Week Fall Session
- Shamrock Studio™ Clovers 6-Week Fall Session

Not sure between District Tots or Shamrock Studio? Consider your child's attention span, ability to follow directions, and comfort participating independently in a group. A younger or newer-to-structured-classes 4 year old may be happiest in District Tots, while a child who is ready for a longer, more structured class may be a great fit for Shamrock Studio.

Happy September! (One of our favorite months of the year!) 💙

We are so lucky to experience all of the “firsts”... first pair of dance shoes, first steps in the studio, first time meeting your dance teacher! We just can’t wait!

There are a number of exciting events on the horizon as well!

☘️ Shamrock Meet and Greet (RSVP Required - this event is for enrolled dancers and families only!)
✨ Art All Night Tenleytown - we’re excited to open our studio and see our neighbors at this years AAN! Come see our performance at 7:30pm and then stick around for other artists!
🎉 Irish Network in DC Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day event @ Wundergarten! See DIDA perform and enjoy an afternoon celebrating Irish culture in DC!
🗓️ FIRST DAY OF CLASSES! Our 2026-27 dance season kicks off on 9/14!
💪🏼 Jigs and Swigs® is back at Atlas Brew Works Bridge District!
🌱 The cutest first of the month - Shamrock Studio™ premieres in Rockville, MD welcoming brand new dancers as young as 2 to discover Irish dance!

Without a doubt, Shamrock Studio™ is the most fun dance class in the DMV!

We're bringing the joy and magic to Rockville this fall! Dancers will learn iconic Irish dance footwork and posture and enjoy playful games and team building activities throughout the six weeks. Rooted in Irish culture and energized by modern performance influences, our programs guide dancers build confidence, friendships, and skills that extend far beyond the studio.

Founded in 2018 and based right in Tenleytown, this is DC's first fully District-based Irish dance school, led by instructors who've toured with Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. You can watch their performance at 7:30pm at District Irish Dance Academy on Sept 12 as a part of Tenleytown Art All Night!

So you've seen Riverdance or maybe a viral video while scrolling... and thought I'd like to give that a try but unsure if it's for me? ☘️

Our Adult Irish dance community is made up of a diverse group of incredible people in their early twenties through seventies. Besides the dancing of course it's the friendship and camaraderie fostered in our classes throughout the year that makes what we do so special!

So whether it's your very first step into Irish dancing or maybe you danced as a child and curious about returning. Now is a great time to join us and see what all the fun is about! ✨
