Cassaundra’s journey is proof that progress does not require perfection. It requires a decision to keep showing up for yourself.

After reaching 282 pounds and facing health challenges including high blood pressure and diabetes, Cassaundra knew something had to change. She had already started losing weight, but she wanted the support, structure, and accountability to keep moving toward the life and health she envisioned.

Even while balancing school, a full time job, and two additional jobs, Cassaundra made the choice to stay focused on her goal. Grateful for the woman who has walked beside me through every step of this journey.

My wife’s support, patience, and belief in me have reminded me that growth is never meant to be done alone. We all need a partner, a mentor, or someone willing to walk with us when the path gets challenging.

How to Glorify God in Your Workouts 💪🏿

1. Start With Surrender
“Lord, this workout is Yours.” Begin every session by giving it to God. Proverbs 16:3 says when you commit your actions to Him, He establishes your path.

2. Fill the Room with Worship
Let praise set the tone. Play music that lifts your spirit and anchors your mindset in truth. Colossians 3:16 reminds us to let the message of Christ dwell in us richly, even while training.

3. Declare Truth Over Your Body and Mind
Speak life as you move:
• “Christ is my strength.”
• “My body is His temple.”
• “I train with purpose, not pressure.”

Joel 3:10 says, “Let the weak say, I am strong.”

4. Rest in His Presence
Breaks aren’t empty, they’re sacred. Use your rest time to pray, thank God, or lift someone else up. Let your stillness be worship too. (Colossians 4:2)

5. End With Gratitude
Cool down with praise. When you finish, thank Him: “God, thank You for this body, this strength, and this journey.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances.”

Working out can be more than physical activity. It can be an act of worship.

Four weeks ago, Sonia started The Restart Blueprint, my 16-week transformation program for MyPurposeFit. Only four weeks in, she’s already down 12 lbs.
