The Fall 2026 athletic season will be here before we know it! All WPSD Athletics paperwork and sports physicals must be completed and submitted by August 23, 2026 to ensure student-athletes are eligible to participate.

✅ Complete all required athletic forms
✅ Schedule your sports physical appointment
✅ Submit everything before the deadline
✅ Be ready for the first day of the season!

📣 The WPSD Athletic Director will be electronically sending information and required forms to families very soon, so please keep an eye on your email.

Don’t wait until the last minute! Take care of it now so our Lions are ready to ROAR together and SOAR higher this fall!

🎉 Greater Pittsburgh Community Center for the Deaf (GPCCD) proudly presents another year of Deaf Day at Kennywood!

🚨 Don’t forget — tomorrow is the big day! We are excited to see you and have you join us for a fun-filled day with our Deaf community.

Can’t make it tomorrow? No problem! You can still purchase tickets at the discounted rate, and a portion of every ticket sold will help support the GPCCD Scholarship Program.

Please note: This is not a WPSD-sponsored event. We are simply sharing this opportunity with our families and community members and encourage everyone to support and enjoy this wonderful Deaf community tradition.

⚾️💛🖤 PERFECT PITCH CAMP 2026 🖤💛⚾️

Join the Perfect Pitch Camp 2026 on Tuesday, July 28th at the beautiful PNC Park in Pittsburgh! This FREE camp is open to any Deaf or Hard of Hearing child ages 6-17 and provides 90 minutes of fun, skill development, exercise, and unforgettable memories on a Major League Baseball field.

Participants will be grouped by age and skill level, making this a wonderful opportunity for both beginners and experienced players to learn, grow, and celebrate the game of baseball together.

Over the past four years, Tay-von has proudly represented WPSD in all three seasons, competing in soccer, basketball, and track & field. His dedication, leadership, and perseverance have made a lasting impact on our athletic program.

Our next senior student-athlete spotlight shines on Elisha Q.!

Elisha has been a dedicated three-sport athlete, participating in soccer, basketball, track & field. He is truly one of our all-around athletes who loves staying active and competing. His leadership, work ethic, and positive attitude have made him a valuable member of every team he has represented.

This year, Elisha earned the Coach’s Award in Soccer and was recognized as the Most Improved Player in Basketball, reflecting his commitment to growth and his dedication to his teammates.
