As we bid farewell to our incredible summer swim season of 2023, filled with laughter, splashes, and fantastic memories, it's time for our little fish to dive into a new adventure— ! 📚✨

🌊 From the our to the one with desks and chalkboards, I’m excited to see you all flourish and grow as you embark on this new chapter. As you swap your goggles for backpacks, remember that the skills you've honed in the water will serve you well on dry land too!

🌊 So here's a splash of inspiration and some handy tips to make your transition from the pool to the classroom a smooth and successful one!

🌊 Dive into Learning: Just like , is all about diving in headfirst. Embrace each subject like a thrilling new stroke, exploring, and soaking up knowledge with enthusiasm!

The instructor.

Having grown up with , I deeply understand the significance of adjusting to cater to each individual student. While there is a curriculum and a format to follow, I firmly believe in the importance of moving away from rigid structures and to the needs .

In my , I prioritize the comfort, confidence and of each student. While it is easy to teach children how to swim within a designated timeframe using a predetermined lesson plan, my focus goes beyond that. I take into consideration the aspects of , acknowledging that some students may still feel scared or , even if they can physically navigate the .

Every is , and I make it a point to create a customized experience for each individual. I lessons to provide a comfortable environment while also challenging them in areas where they may not feel as confident.

If a child is particularly fearful or anxious, I allow them time to adjust, encouraging them to explore and discover their own abilities throughout the lesson.

Recognizing the value of personalized attention. In group lessons, students can sometimes get lost or overlooked. I have personally experienced this as a child with learning differences, where it was easier to hide or fade into the background. Hence, my approach as a and at is highly child-centered, ensuring that I constantly shift and adapt to meet the unique needs of each child!

Guess what today is…
International Lifeguard Appreciation Day!

At the beach, a water park, resort or your neighborhood pool or aquatic facility, are ready and qualified to monitor and assist and perform life-saving measures when necessary. These professionals stay alert, vigilant and attentive so others can have fun in the water. is a day to honor those who keep us .

It may look like fun in the but these certified first responders are constantly training to maintain their rescue skills, provide top-notch guest service and facility safety, keep water clean and properly sanitized, and keep a watchful eye on guests.

As , professional lifeguards are trained and certified in CPR, oxygen administration, AED use and first aid.
Their skills are tested both in the water and on land. They have a massive responsibility and put their own health and safety at risk, exposing themselves to the transmission of disease and potential injury. Stern enforcers of rules designed to protect swimmers, lifeguards also extend their compassion and care helping families fit lifejackets, answering questions, and maintaining rigorous sanitation protocol.

Today marks the end of a beautiful first week with my swim lessons, after the pool renovations and I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of love and for what I do. Being able to show up and connect with these amazing young souls is truly a !

In everything I do, I strive to show up vibrantly!!
I try an incorporate this vibrant energy into each and every lesson and aim to bring that dynamic energy to ignite a spark in each of my students. By showcasing what it means to live life in color, I to them to do the same.

I intentionally wear colorful outfit that can lift our and brighten our day, it’s a reminder that they too have the power to shine brightly and make a positive impact on the world around them! So, here's to living life in full color!
