An amazing weekend at Giant Acorn Sprint Triathlon. The Krewe showed up and showed out being “Faster than Tommy”. The Krewe secured three 1st place age group spots. Highlight was getting to race with my nephew Jay at his very first triathlon. He crushed me on the swim (former swim team kid) but I came back on the bike and run to show him how those of us with AARP memberships really roll. 😂 Walked away with 1st Place in my Age Group.

Another epic adventure. Ironman Wales lived up to its reputation as one of the harder races on the circuit. Throw in showers of blessing from swim start thru the finish line and it was “Blissful Suffering” at its finest. Finish 39 in the books.

Ironman Wales on deck tomorrow. Going for Ironman Finish 39. It’s a challenging course (8038 feet elevation gain with a few 22+% grade climbs thrown in) so I’m expecting nothing less than “Blissful Suffering” all day long. Rolling thru with my SDA and Oakwood University family.

Had an amazing time at IRONMAN Estonia Tallinn! 🇪🇪
Everywhere I went, I made sure to represent my HBCU with my Oakwood College (now Oakwood University) sweater and represent the US Virgin Islands with my Madras bucket hat. 🇻🇮
Ironman Tallinn is by far the best organized and best executed Ironman branded race I’ve ever experienced. From start to finish, everything was incredibly well done. I can’t hold them responsible for the storm that rolled in but they handled it beautifully.
If I ever repeat an Ironman, this is definitely one I’d come back and do again.

Ironman Tallinn & Ironman Tallinn 70.3

Showed up for Ironman Tallinn only to see a sign saying “onsite registration 70.3”. What else could I do but say “take my money” 😂
Sometimes you’ve got to try something new. Ironman on Saturday (Bib # 1200) followed by 70.3 on Sunday (Bib # 2019). This is going to be interesting.
