Since opening in 1994, our studio has continued to redefine conventional tap dance. At Knock On Wood, we specialize in rhythm tap, a form of percussive dance that gives you the skills to make music with your feet. is one of only a few facilities of its kind in the United States. At Knock On Wood Tap Studio, our students start as young as 2 years (in a parent/child class) old, learning basic steps

and technique, and dancing to jazz, blues, and swing. We have classes for kids, teens, and adults; from beginners to advanced tappers. Tap dance is fun and gratifying -- and great exercise! -- for people of all ages and skill levels. Little kids naturally love to stomp their feet and make noise, so tap dance is a perfect fit for them. By the time they are teens, whether brand new to tap, or dancing since they were little, they can start to really appreciate the musicality of tap, as well as its physical demands. Although it may look like you're just using your feet, tap dancing is a full-body aerobic workout! Adults can ease into tap dancing through Soft Shoe, an elegant form of tap dance that is low in impact, but high in grace and style.
