RCM is excited to share that our Redefining Body Autonomy program, My Body, My Choice, has been shortlisted for the Zero Project Awards 2027!
This year’s awards focus on Independent Living, Political Participation, and Assistive Technology, and our innovative work has earned recognition among 159 outstanding solutions, selected from 615 nominations across 94 countries. We are proud to stand alongside organizations from around the world that are driving innovation in disability inclusion.
Being shortlisted is a significant milestone for RCM. It recognizes our commitment to advancing body autonomy and ensuring that people with disabilities have the knowledge, confidence, and support to make informed decisions about their own bodies and lives.
We look forward to the next stages: connecting with the global community, exchanging ideas, and learning from others. We are especially grateful to Erica Thomas, Education and Outreach Manager, and our entire Innovation Team for their dedication, collaboration, and leadership in helping bring this work to life. We also thank everyone who has contributed to the program and helped make this recognition possible.
The Zero Project’s selection process now continues and will involve hundreds of peer-review experts from around the world. This year’s Zero Project Awardees will be announced on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, December 3, 2026.
