Happy one month to my dear Olanna Shelton, being your mother has been an absolute joy and the greatest gift. I have never known love like this existed - even though you were just born on November 11, it feels like you’ve always been a part of our family. Every day, I continue to be in awe at your existence. From your hiccups and tiny kicks while in utero to being in my arms, you will always be a miracle in my eyes.

In early March we found out we were pregnant and shortly thereafter we were told we’re having a baby girl. Over the past eight months, she’s already changed our worlds for the better and we know that once she arrives, life will be even more beautiful.

Being pregnant during this pandemic has been interesting as well as it’s brought about immeasurable change. My husband and I have been blessed to spend more quality time together than we ever have before and quietly prepare our hearts and our home to become a family of three.

November cannot come soon enough. We’re over the moon ecstatic for the arrival of our baby girl and look forward to the day where we can kiss and squeeze her.

i’m beyond grateful to my husband for organizing our getaway for my birthday amidst all of the current chaos in the world. ever since i was a child, i’ve always strived to live each and every day to the fullest, as no day is guaranteed and this year is no different. it’s an absolute gift to have a partner who lives out that vision with me. there’s so much that i look forward to in this new rotation around the sun, so here’s to focused intentions, new goals and many more blessings.
