Hains Point Hoopla 2.0

Today’s Hains Point Hoopla, organized by WABA brought together cyclists, runners, triathletes, families, and neighbors with one shared message: Hains Point matters, and it’s worth protecting.

For so many in our community, this is where we train, ride, run, connect, and belong. We’re proud to stand alongside the broader DC community in advocating for a Hains Point that remains accessible for everyone!

The long distance programs officially closed out their 2026 with a happy hour tonight! Congratulations to all who took on new challenges, new distances and new PRs! Over this wonderful program season friends were made, laughs were had, and miles were logged 🏊🚴🏃! We can hardly wait for our 2027 programs!!

Nothing beats celebrating big race weekends with the best community. 🍻

This month’s Happy Hour was all about celebrating our Ironman Lake Placid athletes and L’Étape du Tour riders. Huge congratulations to everyone who raced—you represented DC Tri Club so well! 🏅

Also take a moment to appreciate our new DC Tri Club table top flags (so cute)!

Final Summit ☔🏊🚴🏃

The last big training weekend is in the books! Before taper begins and the countdown to goal races really starts, our Ironman Program athletes took on one final summit together.

The weather had other plans—steady rain, soaked shoes, and plenty of puddles—but you wouldn’t know it from all the smiles. Training days like these build more than fitness; they build confidence, resilience, and a reminder that race day won’t always be perfect… and you’ll be ready anyway.

Now it’s time to trust the training, embrace the taper, and get excited. The hard work is done. 💪🏅

Day 2 of ADV Training Camp completed ✅

Despite the cold morning, we started with another cold plunge into Trout Pond. We collectively did a better job of warming up and acclimating to the temperatures 🥶
We ended training camp with another beautiful bike ride.

But as always, the best part are the cheers, high fives, and shouts of encouragement along the way. We’re so incredibly proud of this group, thanks for bringing your A-game this weekend.

Tri Club Day with Crossing Currents = open water confidence unlocked. 🌊

Huge thanks to our partners at for hosting an awesome day of open water swim practice and race-day prep. We had an amazing turnout, lovely swim conditions, and plenty of chances to work through the little things that make a big difference on race day — sighting, starts, nerves, transitions, and getting comfortable in open water.

Whether you’re gearing up for your first tri, fine-tuning your race plan, or just here for the good swim vibes, we loved seeing so many DC Tri Club members out there.

Big thanks to everyone who joined, supported, coached, cheered, and helped make the day happen. See you in the water! 🏊‍♀️✨

Bricnic recap 🚴‍♀️☀️

Perfect weather, solid rides, and a classic mix of smooth miles + a few flats to keep things interesting.

Groups rolled out early, handled the usual mid-ride “situations,” (aka flat tires) and still made it back for optional runs, followed by food, drinks, and comparing who had the most eventful ride.

All in all: strong turnout, great routes, and a successful day on two wheels.
