District Pilates District Pilates is a boutique Reformer Studio located in the heart of Shaw, Washington DC.

District Pilates offers both private, semi-private and group classes using both Peak Pilates Reformers and Chairs. Classes range from beginner to advanced and can be targeted and tailored based off of client’s needs. Pilates Reformer is ideal for every body type, every level of fitness, and every age group. Not going to lie, wasn’t sure what springs to use, wasn’t sure where to put my hands and wasn’t sure how it would look but I am determined to lift my head by the end of this year!! We all have our 2026 goals so hope everyone is keeping up their resolutions!!

And if you’re not, you’re probably having a better year so far than the rest of us 😂

❄️IT’S PRETTY COLD OUT THERE DC and we have to make sure we’re doing the proper things to stay pain free as the weather can heavily affect our joints and increase chronic pain❄️

Maintaining healthy joints during cold weather can be challenging, as the cold can exacerbate joint pain and stiffness. One of the major things you can do to combat this is to STAY ACTIVE🦾

Regular Exercise engaging in low-impact activities like walking, cycling and of course will help maintain flexibility and keep your muscles working👟🤸

Using the reformer resistance as your strengthening tool to help keep your alignment and to assist building muscle strength which supports joints and reduces strain can be highly beneficial. Having the machine pull you into a stretch you could not normally do on your own is also a game changer you would not find in most workouts.

🥶 Stay moving, Fam and above else, make sure to layer up!!! 🥶

🥳 HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥳 Thank you all again for an amazing 2025 and we couldn’t have done it without all of you.

While we are excited to start a new year, we had some amazing moments these past 12 months. So many new and familiar faces ~ we are so grateful for those of you that come to visit whenever they’re in town or have moved back and it’s like nothing has changed. I’m personally truly grateful for those of you that have taken 1 class with us and for those who have trained with me for over 14 years❤️ Celebrating 10 years in Business and being Showcased in 2025’s 🫶🏼 Because of all of you we won “Best Pilates Studio”, runner up for “Best Exercise Class” and we also, for the first time ever Won the spot for “Best Personal Trainer” . I was beyond shocked and had trouble at the times putting it into words but to have a Pilates Instructor win in this category and I was so honored. We also promoted one of our Lead Instructors, Allison Martinez as our General Manager for both studios and she’s done an absolutely outstanding job so far and we are beyond excited to go into a fresh year as a stronger team.

Again, we thank all of your continued support, love and friendship. Thank you also to our amazing instructors, new and in training and we look forward to offering more classes, extra workshops and a wider ranger of workouts in 2026!

We love you all and have a wonderful NEW YEAR⭐️
