Remember, everyone is given the same fair chance and opportunity to win!! Who are your hosts? Yulio, AKA "El Chalan De-La Bachata", is a dancer turned into a DJ. After finding out that dancing Salsa and Bachata were great ways to meet people, in 2005 he decided to start a new adventure dancing and teaching at the University of The District Of Columbia (UDC), where he was also a student. DJ Yulio started his DJ career in DC by offering the only Bachata social dance in the city called "The Bachata Room", then joining Mr. Mambo's Salsa social DJ team and opening the Bachata Invasion Room in 2011 as part of Mr. Mambo’s. He was featured at major events, such as The DC Bachata Congress "The World's Largest Bachata Festival", DC Salsa Capital Congress, Mr. Mambo's Salsa & Bachata Social events, The Salsa Room, The Sunday Latin Party at Lucky Strike, Skylite DC. He is also a resident DJ at Cafe Citron on Mondays, Resident DJ at The Barking Dog- Salsa Tuesdays, Resident DJ at Habana Village on Wednesdays and still DJing at numerous Salsa and Bachata socials in DMV area. Recognized as a humble Salsa/Bachata dance instructor, and promoter of Salsa/Bachata dance and music, DJ Yulio specializes in a wide range of music, from all sources of Salsa rhythms (romantica, dura, mambo, timba, and more), to Kizomba, Zouk, and of course Bachata (dominicana, romantica, urban, and BachaTango). His mission is to build a great group of people who love dancing and would like to share their passion with the world by promoting dancing as a healthy life style. His vision is to see a future diverse and thriving Latin dance community dancing free from discrimination, to expand the social dance culture and network with more dancers around the world.
