Register once. Run/Jog/Walk free at all 2,300 events worldwide. Park near Anacostia Skate Pavilion. Your free community weekly 5K run/jog/walk held every Saturday at 9am.

Milestone Monday

It's hard to have any milestones when your parkrun is canceled, but we did. Congrats to Graeme -- Event Director in the rainbow tutu -- for hitting his 100th Volunteer! (83 of which have been at Anacostia.)

The photos are from Anacostia parkrun, Lochiel parkrun (Australia, where he first pulled on a hi vis vest), and Bushy Park parkrun (where he finished 1,312th as a parkwalker).

Sorry to say that the decision has been made to cancel Anacostia parkrun tomorrow, September 19. Parking uncertainties, area access, and equipment supply chain issues all contributed to the decision.

Sep 19. We are short a timekeeper, someone to hand out tokens, and a tail walker. The "C" word has been uttered, but we would rather not. If anyone can step up, awesome. We'll give it one more day before making a final decision.

[BTW, the "C" word is "cancel".]

Last Saturday was a busy day out on the Anacostia River. How about attending an upcoming Anacostia parkrun to check things out?

Don't forget that we have flipped the course, so we start/finish near the Anacostia Skating Pavilion.
