Last month in Baltimore, we showed that the game was bigger than basketball. 🧠🏀

Young athletes had the chance to hang out with Bub Carrington, who spent the day engaging through meaningful conversations around mental health, mentorship, and on-court skill development. Hosted at Bub’s alma mater, St. Frances Academy, the event began with a powerful wellness session led by before transitioning into on-court skills and drills.

A day built on legacy and education. 🏀

We celebrated March 14 with a special basketball clinic at The Unselds’ School — founded by Baltimore Bullets legend and NBA Hall of Famer Wes Unseld and his wife, Connie Unseld — honoring a lifelong commitment to education, leadership, and impact through basketball.

Through our Wizards Girls Empowerment Clinic & Workshop Series, we were able to engage with elementary, middle, and high school female student-athletes in experiences designed to build confidence both on and off the court. From skill development to creative workshops focused on self-expression and personal growth, we remain committed to creating opportunities where young women feel supported, seen, and encouraged to lead.

Get ready for Basketball Day in the DMV presented by 🏀

will be broadcasting 10 live high school basketball games on January 10-11. As a special addition, and part of our District of Play initiative, we will be collecting new and lightly used sports equipment to support , providing gear to youth and school programs in need across the DMV.

Drop off donations to the on January 9 vs. the Pelicans or on-site at DeMatha on January 10-11. Fans who donate will receive a small gift of appreciation 🎁
