Green Dragons

Green Dragons HYDRATE OR DIE! Green: the color of nature; the color of money; the color of…wild. And the color of our dragon. Some of us can even paddle too.

The Green Dragons are a team of nature lovers, thinkers, drinkers, artistes (just wait till you hear us sing “Me Darlin’ Flo”) drawn from the greater DC area and beyond but bringing the spicy kick of far away jungle madness to the otherwise noble art of dragon boating. We have discovered that experience is something that comes with time, but a team is something that comes with beer (and singing, a

nd more beer, and perhaps a pink drink or two). As we have refined the art of terrestrial training as an accompaniment to our aquatic training, we have grown in strength over the last 3 seasons -- a continuous cocktail of new and old timers both in terms of our leadership and team members who maintain a close bond that shows on the water. The fact our that our team hits the water once a year for the festival and is usually a majority of first timers means that our secret weapon is beginners luck (don’t tell anyone). Stop by and say hello - just follow the sound of bad singing and remember: HYDRATE OR DIE!

Green dragons, past & present - do you want a trophy to decorate your office or home? If so, contact Rachel - I have trophies from 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016 - due to the CI office consolidation I cannot keep them all. I also have extra medals (they give us extra ones when we WIN!)
