I want to take a moment to acknowledge everyone who was part of the Navy Yard community — thank you.
I know the closure happened suddenly, and I understand how disruptive and frustrating that can be. It wasn’t something I expected either, and I truly empathize with everyone who was affected.
I’m grateful for every person who trusted me with their training. That work mattered, and so did you. While this chapter has closed, my commitment to coaching, accountability, and community hasn’t changed.

Started boxing pretty young, stopped for a while and then restarted again in 2018 and have been grinding since!

Nelson is a certified coach and take great pride in coaching amateurs alsongside his head coach and alpha lion of “Lions Den Boxing Academy” where he also fights out of and is looking to get back in the ring by the end of the year (2025) with huge praise to making a jump next year for pros!

Born and raised in DC, always been a native and forever will have a big heart for his city! The goal for navy yard is to make it the gym it should’ve been for the community where people feel welcomed and he hopes to do that while He’s here! Let’s get it navy yard familia!
