What a day! A huge CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who took on the Crops & Cows 5K Challenge Course — and especially to our competitive heat winners!

From the little ones to the seasoned competitors, near and far, racers came together on the farm to run, climb, crawl, get muddy and have some fun!

A HUGE THANK YOU to our Planning Committee & Volunteers! And an even BIGGER THANK YOU to South Plymouth Pumpkins and the John Persinger family for opening their beautiful farm and allowing the Fayette, County Farm Bureaus to bring Crops & Cows to life on their property. We are so grateful for their generosity, hospitality and willingness to share their farm with our community!

Crops & Cows doesn’t happen without the amazing people behind the scenes who spend weeks planning, building, organizing, setting up, directing, cheering, cleaning up and doing whatever needed to be done. Our planning committee and volunteers showed up, got muddy and made it happen!

Through the rain, the mud and all the unexpected challenges, you kept things moving and kept the fun going.

We are so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. This event truly is a community effort, and you are what makes Crops & Cows so special!

This challenge course is truly homegrown — dreamed up, built by hand, and made from scratch right here on the farm. There’s no commercial race brand or event franchise behind it. Just farmers, friends, neighbors and community partners coming together to create something special. We hope to see you Saturday morning at South Plymouth Pumpkins!

The Crops & Cows 5K Challenge Course, presented by the Fayette County Farm Bureau, was created with a purpose beyond the race: to connect consumers with the farmers who grow their food and care for the land.

Agriculture is Ohio’s number one industry, yet the connection between consumers and agriculture continues to grow more distant. Crops & Cows offers a unique way to bridge that gap — by bringing people onto a modern, working farm and giving them an active, hands-on experience with agriculture.

The challenge course was designed to make agriculture approachable, engaging and memorable for all ages. It’s a fun day on the farm, but it’s also an opportunity to experience agriculture in a whole new way — creating connections and memories that last long after the race is over.
