-Below are links to the waiver and range rules for the Waseca Sportsmen Club. Information on how to obtain 2026 memberships will be posted tomorrow night after the member meeting.
-You will not need to print your own copies; they will be provided for you.
-Please feel free to preview these documents so you understand what you are signing and agreeing to when you purchase your membership.
-To purchase a membership, you will need your ID, proof of obtaining your Firearm Safety Training Certificate, and payment ($50 for county residents, $120 for out-of-county residents).
-Memberships are still family memberships. If your spouse or children will use the club facilities, they must also sign the waiver and follow the same steps. We understand that, depending on a child’s age, they may not yet have their Firearm Safety Training Certificate.

Based upon new insurance company: Members in 2026 will be required to sign a Release, waiver, indemnification, hold harmless, and assumption of risk agreement (initial draft has been posted below).

Members will be required to provide proof of a MN Safety Training Certificate. Instructions on how to get a copy of your certificate from the MN DNR is posted to this website. This may cause issues with older members, and the Club will work with those members to assure safety standards.

Acceptable forms of proof for your MN Firearm Safety Certification include:
• Driver’s license – some licenses have it printed on the back (these are accepted). Others store it in a barcode, which we cannot scan.
• Hunter safety card
• Most recent hunting license – your firearm safety number is listed on it under your driver’s license number.

Members may be subject to background checks.

Memberships will no longer be sold at Sportsman Stop or Southside Marine.

The insurance review is currently in its final stages of processing. To help ensure a smooth transition, 2026 memberships will become available starting May 1. Until then, all current 2025 memberships and keys will remain valid through that date.
Additional details regarding 2026 memberships will be shared in mid-April, serving as a reminder and providing any important updates. We appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout this process.

Due to the continued use of handguns on the trap and archery fields, access through the west fence line gate will be restricted to members who are regularly involved in trap shooting and archery activities.

All other members will be expected to to use the north fence line gate for entry.

Pending insurance review the club will not be accepting new members at this time. 2025 memberships will stay valid until the end of March. More information to follow.

The Waseca Sportsmen Club announces that James Hayes has formally resigned from his positions as board member and treasurer.

The locks have now been updated for the 2025 season.

Memberships and keys will be available at Sportsman’s Stop and Southside Marine (there will be a $2 fee at these locations).

Waseca County residents annual membership is $50.
Non Waseca county residents annual membership is $120.
Drivers license or other identification required for purchase.

*Reminders:
-No guests are allowed. Bringing guests in when it is not a public shoot night (Tuesday/Thursday trap) can result in you losing your membership for the year or a ban for any future seasons. If either of these actions were to take place you must turn in your key for the current shooting season. If you refuse, you will be charged the cost of rekeying new locks for every active member.
-Memberships cover you, your spouse, and your children under 18. Extended family, children 18+, parents, and/or grandparents would need separate memberships to be on club property besides open to public nights on the trap fields (top of the hill). There are no days or nights that allow for people not covered by memberships to be on the premises below the hill (rifle and pistol range).
