Providence Firefighters Athletic Association Softball

The Providence Firefighter’s Athletic Association will once again be hosting our Softball “Burn” Tournament. This year the tournament will take place on June 27-28. The two day tournament guarantees teams a minimum of 3 games played with MOST teams playing both days. It will be held in the same location as past years, City Park, in Warwick, RI. Any teams interested can respond to this post, message this page or reach out to Jeff Okie by call or text at 401–330-9211. We will have a flyer out shortly.

“It’s that time of year again. Come join the Special Olympics for a great event. Last years event sold out! Teams of 4 with one Special Olympics athlete (assigned that day). I’d ask that just one member from each team message me with team members. As always food and drinks🍻included! This is always a great time and good way to get together with other members. Open to all active and retired members plus friends and family. Get in the game!”

Our sincere condolences go out to the the CT. State Police for the loss of their brother, Trooper Aaron Pelletier. He was a member of the CT. Lawmen softball team who have participated in our Burn Tourney in recent years. Please keep his family, fellow troopers and teammates in your thoughts.

The Providence Firefighter’s Athletic Association would like to take a second to once again thank all of this years participants in the annual Burn Tourney. We are proud to say with your help we were able to raise and donate 5,000$ to the Rhode Island Burn Foundation!

The RI Burn Foundation is a Non Profit Charity based in Providence, Rhode Island that was founded with a mission of providing support services to burn survivors, families, firefighters, and members of the medical community partnering with the ABA verified Burn Center at Rhode Island Hospital.

Thank you for your continued support keeping this tourney going and we hope to see all the teams back next year and maybe a few more! Until then stay safe.
