After years away from sports, Hannah Little remembered how much she loved swimming. 🏊

Coming back was hard at first. At the Y, she found instructors who paid attention, offered adjustments, and helped her discover how much she could do. 💪

Then she started seeing the same faces every time she came in.

"Just knowing that we're all kind of here doing it together, it feels less lonely."

What began as getting moving again became a familiar part of her week, surrounded by people she recognized.

Your gift can help someone else find that support when they're ready to try again. 🌊

At 50, Mark Roby set a goal to run a half marathon. 🏃

Fifteen years after joining the Kent County Y, what he talks about most is the people who helped him along the way.

John has been Mark's trainer for more than a decade. Mark credits their strength training with helping him complete the miles, but over the years, John also became a close friend.

"It's the people that I've met and the experiences that I've had with those people. That's probably been the most important part of achieving those milestones."

Someone kept showing up for Mark. Your gift can help put that same steady support beside someone else's next goal.

If you've been part of the Greater Providence YMCA, chances are you have a Y story. ❤️
Maybe you learned to swim here. Maybe your child found confidence, your family found support, or you discovered a place where you truly belonged.

For 173 years, stories like these have been possible because someone chose to care.
Today, you can be the reason someone's Y story begins. Your gift helps children learn and grow, gives families access to programs they may not otherwise be able to afford, and helps people of all ages find connection and belonging.

Will you be the reason? Make your gift today and help create a Y story that lasts for generations.

🌟 Our Newman Branch dance family has something to celebrate! 🌟
We're so proud of our Shooting Stars School of Dance for being recognized with the ADCC Studio of Excellence Award at the national level!

This prestigious recognition honors studios that lead with quality, integrity, respect, and sportsmanship—values our dancers and staff bring to every rehearsal, performance, and competition. It's a reflection of the YMCA's core values in action, both on and off the stage.

Now, Shooting Stars has the opportunity to be named 2026 America's Top Studio of Excellence and receive a $5,000 scholarship—and your vote can help make it happen!
