I am excited to announce that Whit Chaiyabhat will joining the East Coast Softball Academy as a private instructor focusing on hitting and defensive skill development.
He will also continue to serve as an assistant coach for our 12U (2nd year) East Coast Scorpions.
Coach Whit has over 20 years of coaching experience, including nearly a decade of collegiate experience as a former NCAA softball assistant coach with Georgetown University (NCAA Division I) and Hood College (NCAA Division III).
In his final two seasons at Georgetown, he helped guide the Hoyas to the program's historic back-to-back appearances in the 2013 and 2014 Big East Conference Softball Championships hosted at The Ballpark at Rosemont (home of the NPF Chicago Bandits).
Prior to his time with Georgetown Hoyas Softball, he was an Assistant Coach at Hood College in Maryland during the 2006 and 2007 seasons, responsible for working with the development of hitters, infielders, catchers, and base runners. During his two seasons at Hood, he helped guide the Blazers to their first-ever consecutive trips to the NCAA Division III Softball Championships.
