Wyoming Conservation Association Sportsman's/Conservation Club The normal range hours from 9AM to 9PM seven days a week except when the Spring & Summer trap leagues are being held.

Therefore the range is closed Sunday mornings till noon and Tuesday evenings from 6PM till 8:30 PM. Range is also closed until about 3PM on the the 2 days when the Spring & Summer trap league shootoff and banquet are held. The range is also closed when special club events are held like the meat shoots , youth trap shoot, hunter education class etc. The club membership year runs from September 1 t

o August 31. New members who join after July 1 will be covered until August 31 of the following year. Membership application is posted on this page page. If you cannot print it you can write the required information on a piece of paper and mail it along with a check for your dues to Jack Plowe at the address listed on the application.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ- Reminder to members: There will be a change in the Annual Meeting Wednesday October 8. The club house will be open at 6:30p.m. with a meal ( Please bring a dish to pass) before the meeting. If you plan on coming let us know by Oct 5th at the latest, the day of the Meat Shoot and Raffle. After the meal we will have the meeting and election of officers. If you are willing to step up and run for office let us know. We need some younger members in office. The club secretary and treasurer both ended up in the hospital again within the last week . So we really need some younger members to attend this meeting and formally put forward their name for these officer positions.

The Wood and Brook Sportsmens Club is holding a Sponsored Pheasant hunt for youth (12-15yrs) hunters who would like to experience and learn more about pheasant hunting. This event is taking place at The Wood & Brook Sportsmens Club, located at 13712 Genesee St, Alden NY 14004 on October 11th from 8:00am -2:30pm.

They will be hunting in three separate fields depending on experience levels and will be using trained hunting dogs. A lunch will be provided along with cleaning of harvested birds. Participants should wear blaze orange hat or vest and be sure to dress for the weather. Proper footwear such as boots is highly recommended. Participants should bring their own firearm (Shotgun) and ammunition.

All hunters must have passed a hunter education certification course and possess a valid NYS hunting license.

The crossbow hunting bill was signed into law.
Here’s a summary of the new crossbow law from New York Crossbow Coalition:
Allows crossbows to be used anywhere longbows are permitted
Requires archery privilege to hunt with a crossbow
Crossbow usage will be taught in a bow hunter safety course
Removes maximum draw weight and width restrictions
Adds 500 feet discharge setback for Westchester, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties
