The cooler weather this week has not slowed the fishing at all! Here's our up to date report for this week:

Warroad Area: Walleye action remains strong throughout the south basin. A jig and a shiner in 20 to 25 feet have been the most effective presentation so far this week. However, we're still getting good reports from shallow(less than 10') and even in the Warroad River.

Northwest Angle: Walleye fishing was phenomenal early this week. Any rocky shoreline held great numbers of fish. As the cooler weather settled in fish moved deeper but are still relating to points. The bass fishing has been typical of mid June - on Fire! Casting small Mepps, spinner baits, or a jig and a plastic worm up to the shoreline is the tactic to use. If you can find some pockets of weeds near rock/gravel, hang on!
