She finally said the words I’ve been waiting to hear:

“Dad, I want to train.”

Not because I made her.
Not because I pushed her.
Because SHE wants it.

Now it’s time to work.

Different feeling when it’s your own.

As a coach, I’ve helped a lot of young athletes chase their goals.

But when your own daughter comes to you and says, “Dad, I want to train”… it hits different.

I never wanted to force the game on her. I wanted her to choose it.

Now that she has, my job is simple — give her the same opportunity, accountability, and development I expect for every athlete I work with.

She said she wanted to train.

So now we work.
