The 2026 season of the Georgia PGA Senior Division Tour kicks off tomorrow with the Jekyll Island Senior Classic on the Great Dunes Course at Jekyll Island Golf Club. 86 players are signed up to compete.

Congratulations to Todd Ormsby (Senior) and Robert M. Allen II (Super-Senior) for their victories in the Southtowne Newnan Senior Classic held August 18-19 at Newnan Country Club near Newnan. 85 players participated (44 in the Senior Division and 41 in the Super-Senior Division) in the 10th event of the 2025 Georgia PGA Senior Division Tour season.

SENIOR DIVISION

Todd Ormsby shot 66-73 for a 5-under-par 139 to defeat Sonny Skinner (72-72) by 5 shots.

This was Ormsby’s 10th career Senior Division Tour victory and his 6th 2025 win.

Low Amateur was Jim Foote (74-75) with a 5-over-par 149, good for an 8th place finish.

Todd Ormsby’s (33-33) opening bogey-free and tournament low 6-under-par 66 led the field by 4 shots after 18 holes.

Sonny Skinner (35-37) shot an even-par 72 for the lowest round two score.

Joe Watkins made the only eagle of the tournament. Watkins made a 3 on the par 5 8th hole in round two.

Todd Ormsby made 9 birdies to lead the field in under-par holes.

SUPER-SENIOR DIVISION

Robert M. Allen II (72-68) birdied his final hole to shoot a 4-under-par 140 and a 1-shot victory over Low Professional Charlie King (71-70).

This was Allen’s 3rd Super-Senior Division Tour victory and 1st sole win after being a Co-Champion in 2 events in 2021.

Allen’s 4-under-par 68 (33-35) in round two was the low round of the tournament. Allen had 6 birdies and 2 bogeys during the round.

Larry Vaughan (34-36) led by one after 18 holes with his opening 2-under-par 70.

Robert Allen II (hole 8 in round one) and Joe Brogdon (hole 8 in round two) had the only eagles of the tournament.

Robert Allen II led the field in under-par holes with 11, making an eagle and 10 birdies.

NEXT EVENT

The 11th and final event of the 2025 Georgia PGA Senior Division season is the Senior Division Championship to be held September 15-16 at Valdosta Country Club in Valdosta. Defending Champions are Tim Weinhart (Senior) and Steve Ridge (Super-Senior).

Congratulations to Bob Royak (Senior) and John Foster (Super-Senior) for their victories in the Yamaha Georgia Senior Open held August 11-12 at Echelon Golf Club in Alpharetta. 121 players participated (94 in the Senior Division and 27 in the Super-Senior Division) in the 9th event of the 2025 Georgia PGA Senior Division Tour season.

SENIOR DIVISION

Bob Royak from Alpharetta (69-69) won the 3rd hole of a sudden-death playoff to defeat Chad Branton (66-72) after the 2 players tied at 138 (6-under-par) for 36 holes.

Royak’s second round 3-under-par 69 (35-34) included 6 birdies and 3 bogeys and allowed him to come from 3 shots behind after round one to gain the playoff.

This was Royak’s 3rd career Senior Division Tour victory. He previously won the 2018 Georgia Senior Open at Pinetree CC and the 2023 Georgia Senior Open at Echelon GC.

Low Professional was Stephen Keppler with a 2-under-par 142 (75-67) good for a 3-way tie for 4th place. Keppler’s 5-under-par 67 (34-33) was the low score in round two.

Low round of the tournament was an opening round 6-under-par 66 by Chad Branton (34-32), giving him a 3-shot lead after 18 holes. Branton’s opening 66 was bogey-free and included 6 birdies.

There were 2 eagles made during the tournament. Todd Ormsby made an eagle “2” on hole 12 in round one. Chris Fisher made the other eagle on the par 5 7th hole, also in round one.

Chad Branton, William Mitchell and Bob Royak each made 10 birdies to lead the field in under-par holes.

SUPER-SENIOR DIVISION

John Foster from Woodstock shot 70-67 for a 7-under-par 137 and a 2-shot victory over Robert M. Allen II (70-69) and Frank Remmes (71-68). Foster’s round two 5-under-par (34-33) was low round of the tournament and included an eagle and 4 birdies.

This was Foster’s 2nd 2025 Super-Senior Division Tour win in his first year of Super-Senior play. He won the Northside Hospital Senior Classic at Big Canoe in May. Foster also has a Senior Division win at the 2011 Chicopee Woods Senior Classic.

Low Professional was Steve Ridge (73-70), who finished 8th with a 1-under-par 143.

Phil Pavoni (35-34) opened with a bogey-free 3-under-par 69, good for a 1-shot lead after 18 holes.

Timothy Amidon made a double-eagle on par 5 7th hole in round two after making an eagle on hole 7 in round one.

There were 3 other eagles made during the tournament. Walter Hope made an eagle “2” on hole 12 in round one. John Foster and Frank Remmes both eagled the par 5 14th hole in round two.

Hyungho Lee led the field in under-par holes with 13 birdies, making 6 in round one and 7 in round two.

Congratulations to Todd Ormsby (Senior) and Hyungho Lee (Super-Senior) for their victories in the Crystal Falls Senior Classic held July 21-22 at Crystal Falls Golf Club near Dawsonville. 102 players participated (55 in the Senior Division and 47 in the Super-Senior Division) in the 8th event of the 2025 Georgia PGA Senior Division Tour season.

SENIOR DIVISION

Defending champion Todd Ormsby (66-68) made an eagle “3” on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff to defeat Stephen Keppler (68-66) after the 2 players tied at 134 (10-under-par).

Ormsby’s (33-33) opening 6-under-par 66 led the field by 2 shots after 18 holes. Ormsby’s 66 included 8 birdies (5 consecutive from holes 7-11).

This was Ormsby’s 9th career Senior Division Tour victory and his 5th 2025 win.

Low Amateur was Matt Robbins’ (69-66) with a 9-under-par 135, good for a 3rd place finish.

Low rounds of the tournament were 6-under-par 66s by Todd Ormsby (33-33) in round 1 and by Stephen Keppler (34-32) and Matt Robbins (34-32) in round 2.

There were 9 eagles, all on par 5s, made during the tournament with Tonya Danckaert ( #18 in both round 1 and round 2) and Brian Katrek ( #8-R1 and #10-R2) leading the way with 2 each.

Todd Ormsby made 14 birdies to lead the field in under-par holes.

SUPER-SENIOR DIVISION

Hyungho Lee shot 69-70 for a 5-under-par 139 and a 1-shot victory over Tom Murphy (68-72) and Jeff Belk (69-71).

Lee’s 1st Super-Senior Division Tour win came in his 1st Georgia PGA Senior Division start.

Low Professional was Steve Ridge (71-70), who finished T-4th with a 3-under-par 141.

Tom Murphy (34-34) had the low round of the tournament with an opening 4-under-par 68, good for a 1-shot lead after 18 holes.

There were 9 eagles made during the tournament with Robert M. Allen II ( #5-R1 and #8-R2) and Phil Pavoni ( #8-R1 and #4-R2) making 2 each. Allen’s first round eagle on hole 5 was an eagle “2”.

Hyungho Lee led the field in under-par holes with 10 birdies, making 6 in round one and 4 in round two

Congratulations to Sonny Skinner (Senior) and John Foster (Super-Senior) for their victories in the Northside Hospital Senior Classic held May 19-20 at Big Canoe Golf Club (Creek-Choctaw) in Big Canoe.

51 players participated (34 in the Senior Division and 17 in the Super-Senior Division) in the 7th event of the 2025 Georgia PGA Senior Division Tour season.

SENIOR DIVISION

Sonny Skinner shot 71-69 for an 2-under-par 140 to win by 3 shots over David Potts (72-71). Skinner’s first round 71 (38-33) led Potts by 1 shot.

This was Skinner’s 24th career Senior Division Tour victory, tying him with James Mason for most wins since 2013.

Greg Walker (73-75) and Tracy Helms (73-75) shared Low Amateur with 6-over-par 148s, good for a tie for 5th.

Sonny Skinner also had the low round two score with a 2-under-par 69 (35-34), the only sub-70 round of the tournament. For the tournament Skinner played the front nine (Creek) in 3-over-par and the back nine (Choctaw) in 5-under-par.

There were 2 eagles made during the tournament, with John Young making an eagle “2” on hole 5 in round two. Jim Foote made the other eagle on the par 5 17th hole in round two.

David Potts made 9 birdies to lead the field in under-par holes.

SUPER-SENIOR DIVISION

John Foster shot 74-72 for a 4-over-par 146 to win by 3 shots over Otis Ranson (76-73).

This was Foster’s 1st Super-Senior Division victory. Foster had a Senior Division victory at Chicopee Woods in 2011.

Low Professional was Chuck Little who finished tied for 3rd after shooting a 8-over-par 150 (80-70). Little’s second round 1-under-par 70 (35-35) was the low round of the tournament.

Keith Morris led by 2 shots after his opening round 1-over-par 72 (34-38). Morris made 5 birdies in round one.

There were 3 eagles made during the tournament, each on a par 5 in round two. Joey Kaney eagled hole 14 and both Keith Morris and Brad Virgil eagled hole 17.

Otis Ranson led the field by 3 in under-par holes with 9 birdies.

Congratulations to Todd Ormsby (Senior) and Jeff Belk (Super-Senior) for their victories in the Lee-Weir Memorial Tournament held May 5-6 at Canongate I Golf Club in Sharpsburg. 84 players participated (49 in the Senior Division and 35 in the Super-Senior Division) in the 6th event of the 2025 Georgia PGA Senior Division Tour season.

SENIOR DIVISION

Two-time Lee-Weir defending champion Todd Ormsby made it 3 in-a-row after shooting 67-60 for a Lee-Weir record 17-under-par 127 and a 9 shot victory over Sonny Skinner (67-69). Ormsby (31-36) and Skinner (35-32) shared the round one lead with opening 5-under-par 67s.

This was Ormsby’s 7th career Senior Division Tour victory and his third 2025 win.

Todd Ormsby’s tournament record final round 12-under-par 60 (29-31) included 2 eagles and 8 birdies.

Low Amateur was Ray Greco (72-71) with a 1-under-par 143, good for a T-4th finish.

There were 3 eagles made during the tournament - Mark Anderson on hole 1 in round one and Todd Ormsby on hole 7 and hole 11 in round two.

Todd Ormsby made 2 eagles and 14 birdies to lead the field in under-par holes. Ormsby made eagle or birdie on 14 of the 18 holes during the tournament, missing only holes 10, 14, 15 and 18. Ormsby had an eagle and 10 birdies on the front nine holes, shooting 31-29.

In each of his 3 wins in 2025, Todd Ormsby has won with a tournament record 36-hole total and has shot the tournament’s low round two score (66,65,60 = 63.667 average).

SUPER-SENIOR DIVISION

Jeff Belk shot 66-73 for a 5-under-par 139 and a 2-shot victory over Low Professional Chuck Little (69-72). Belk (32-34) held a 3-shot lead after round one with his opening 6-under-par 66. Belk birdied his final hole (hole 9) to seal the victory.

This was Belk’s 1st Super-Senior Division Tour win.

Brian Slezak made the tournament’s only eagle on hole 1 in round one.

Jeff Belk led the field in under-par holes with 10 birdies, making 6 in round one and 4 in round two.

The 7th event of the 2025 Georgia PGA Senior Division season will be the Big Canoe Senior Classic to be held May 19-20 at Big Canoe Golf Club. This will be a first year event.

Congratulations to Kevin Durkin (Senior) and Doug Hanzel (Super-Senior) for their victories in the Heritage Golf Group Senior Classic held April 21-22 at Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler.

65 players participated (29 in the Senior Division and 36 in the Super-Senior Division) in the 5th event of the 2025 Georgia PGA Senior Division Tour season.

SENIOR DIVISION

Kevin Durkin shot 66-70 for an 8-under-par 136 to win by 4 shots over Low Professionals Mark Anderson (67-73) and Todd Sapere (67-73). Durkin, Anderson, and Sapere were Top 3 after round one and were paired together in the final round.

This was Durkin’s 1st career Senior Division Tour victory and he has been Low Amatuer in each of his three 2025 starts. In his previous two 2025 starts he was the tournament runner-up and has averaged 68.33 in his 6 rounds this season

Kevin Durkin’s first round 6-under-par 66 (34-32) was the low round of the tournament and included 7 birdies. Durkin had a one shot lead after round one.

John Wade had the low round two score shooting a bogey free 5-under-par 67 (34-33).

There were 4 eagles made during the tournament, with Uel Kemp (round one) and Rick Dubois (round two) making an eagle “2” on hole 8.

Kevin Durkin made 12 birdies to lead the field in under-par holes.

SUPER-SENIOR DIVISION

Doug Hanzel shot 66-65 for a 13-under-par 131 to win by 13 shots over Phil Hardin (70-74).

This was Hanzel’s 1st Super-Senior Division victory.

Low Professional was Chuck Little who finished tied for 8th after shooting a 4-over-par 148 (75-73).

Doug Hanzel had low round of the tournament with a round two 7-under-par 65 (31-34) that included an eagle and 7 birdies. Hanzel began his second round with a bogey on hole 10 and played his final 9 holes in a 5-under-par 31.

Doug Hanzel led by 4 shots after his opening round 6-under-par 66 (33-33).

There were 5 eagles made during the tournament, with Doug Hanzel making an eagle in each round. Eagle “2s” were made by Bob Beebe (hole 9 round one), Doug Hanzel (hole 8 round two) and Frank Remmes (hole 9 round two).

Doug Hanzel led the field by 7 with 14 under-par-holes (2 eagles and 12 birdies). Hanzel played the 8 par 5 holes in 7-under-par.

Congratulations to Todd Ormsby (Senior) and Al Small (Super-Senior) for their victories in the Southeast Senior Classic held March 24-25 at Sanctuary Golf Club in Waverly. 99 players participated (56 in the Senior Division and 43 in the Super-Senior Division) in the 3rd event of the 2025 Georgia PGA Senior Division Tour season.

SENIOR DIVISION

Todd Ormsby shot 69-65 for a Southeast Senior Classic record 10-under-par 134 to win by 3 shots over Low Amateur Kevin Durkin (67-70). After a bogey on hole 10, Ormsby played his final 8 holes in 6-under-par to shoot 31 on his final nine.

This was Ormsby’s 6th career Senior Division Tour victory and second consecutive 2025 win.

Todd Ormsby’s final round 7-under-par 65 (35-31) was the low round of the tournament, and included an eagle and 7 birdies.

Kevin Durkin (34-33) led after 18 holes with a 5-under-par 67 that included 6 birdies.

There were 9 eagles made, with each coming on a par 5.

Todd Ormsby made 2 eagles and 10 birdies to lead the field in under-par holes. Ormsby eagled hole 12 in both rounds.

For the second consecutive tournament: 1) Todd Ormsby won with a tournament record 36-hole total, 2) Todd Ormsby shot the tournament’s low round in round two, and 3) Kevin Durkin led after round one, finished runner-up and was low amateur.

SUPER-SENIOR DIVISION

Al Small shot 73-70 for a 1-under-par 143 to win by 2 shots over Tom Cornelia (74-71) and John Foster (73-72). Small played his final 4 holes in 4-under-par, including an eagle 3 on hole 7, to shoot 31 on his final nine.

This was Small’s 1st Super-Senior Division win and came in his 1st Georgia PGA Senior Division Tour start.

Low Professional Bill Johnstone (34-35) led after round one with a tournament low 3-under-par 69.

There were 5 eagles made, with each coming on a par 5.

Al Small led the field in under-par holes with an eagle and 9 birdies.

NEXT EVENT

The 4th event of the 2025 Georgia PGA Senior Division season will be the Lake Arrowhead Senior Stableford to be held April 7-8 at Lake Arrowhead Yacht & CC in Waleska. This is a first year event and replaces the originally scheduled Dan J Parrish Memorial held at Willow Lake CC in Metter. Willow Lake is undergoing renovations on several holes and and the always popular Parrish Memorial should return in 2026.
